Is the conductive ink dia-magnetic? Aluminum is para-magnetic, so is using two different conductors allowing more electrons to move within

Attention at 3:47. No droplet motion, just water forming a conductive bridge between the electrodes. I wanted to test this for myself so I got some aluminum foil and a carbon electrode and submerged them in a 100mL beaker of tap water and got a 0.8V cell voltage. A water droplet on a small area of electrode / active material might explain the low cell voltage, what do you think? Are the flowing water droplets just switching an electrochemial cell on/off between the conductive ink and the aluminum electrodes? Edit : After setting up the same experiment with aluminum, PTFE, and aluminum , I realized this is actually a capacitive effect

Do you think the dissimilarity between the aluminium and conductive ink causes a greater potential difference? I'm wondering if two different non-ferrous metals (e.g., aluminum and copper) might accomplish the same thing.

I like your variation on RMS's TENG device very much! But, to be fair, the area of aluminum foil exposed on your first device was way smaller in area than the conductive ink painted second one. Unless the exposed contact surfaces have the same surface area one cannot say than one is superior to the other device.

Hi :) Thank You for the Idea I have a Question: Does the Water Drop loose Charge? What I mean, can the same Drop be used multiple Times, like having a zigzag Slide/angled Stairs with a few of these Generators over each Other using the same Drop for generating. Does it have minimal Height to regenate Charge or not? With kind Regards
@cayrex
@cayrex 2 жыл бұрын
Hey! First,... I need to say that I am quite new in that field of generators. But yes I use that water over and over again on the same generator. I try to use two generators in series with the same water flow (not drops) and it didn't work so good. I dont know about the minimal Height.

Very Interesting! May I suggest you look into the works of Victor Schauberger, who documented that water, spun in a vortex, generated electricity & also Lord Kelvin's water dropper spark machine. I believe that your discovery of increased electrical generation with your conductive ink, if combined with Schauberger's work, might yield some even more amazing results!

The orginal idea comes from Hong Kong. Then Robert make his version and instead of using ITO to make surface conductive, he uses aluminium. Then I like Roberts idea and I make my version which instead of using aluminium I use conductive ink. So in the end,.... I will say that is the evolution of the rain cell.

Doing it with conductive ink (carbon based obviously) you created a galvanic pair so your additional voltage isn't from the effect that original device has but from the anodic dissolution of aluminum. So this is rather a bad idea.
@cayrex
@cayrex 7 ай бұрын
Correct. A uninsulated carbon surface on the device will make a reaction and will produce a voltage in the range of 1 to 1.3 volts. A isolated carbon surface with a layer of PVB create the voltage which is shown in the video.
