I was driving down 35w on my way to Dallas and there was a crash about 2 miles ahead of me. Im not a trucker, but I have never heard my CB light up with angry truckers like that over a bunch of people slowing down to see the crash that happened on the other side of the barrier. Blocked up traffic as far as 3 miles behind me apparently. I initially started the tidal wave of cussing and confusion when i keyed up and said the line " Breaker 1 9 this is Scrap. Anyone got eyes on whats causing this massive jam headed northbound on 35w near exit 54?" I swear as soon as a driver responded with "a kid driving a beetle just bumped into the barrier on the other side of the freeway up here and everyone on our side is rubber neckin" the other drivers listening in got so mad that we were this held up. Funniest shit i ever done started.

Messing with truckers is hilarious. I used to live overlooking the freeway and had a decent base antenna so I would go on what I called a 'fishing expedition' and start saying deranged stuff for fun until one finally bites and then I just sit back and let it snowball from there. Once one of em starts going off it starts a tidal wave of everyone else jumping in and all of a sudden channel 19 goes from dead to crowded.

@Rowdy Only the smart truckers make a lot of money. Im making 2k a wk. Lots of money to be made if you know where to look
@user-to2jw7nb8v4 жыл бұрын
@Rowdy Nope infact im more than happy to share info/ payroll to spread awareness. Truckers need to wake up to the fact that there is plenty of money to be made out here if you take your head out of the sand. The more truckers that learn that they can make more money, the higher the wages will go when people stop allowing large carriers to rip them off paying 700-1200 a week. Even owner operators will benefit from increased wages because mega carriers would have no choice but to drive up the cost of freight. Everyone benefits from truckers waking up and going to companies that pay good. If you are doing over the road trucking, do not work for a large Mega carrier like swift, knight, werner, may, schneider, etc unless you need to gain experience. Work for small companies. Search craigslist in the mid West, especially Chicago. OTR companies pay the highest over there. Even with as little as 6 months- 1 year of experience, you can find companies that pay 60 cents per mile hauling simple shit like dryvan/ reefer and govern trucks at 68-75 mph. Some even cheat their E-logs ( like mine) and manually change locations and logged hours so you can run more. No 34 hour break bullshit for me. And if you are young like me, running hard isnt an issue. I was being modest when I said 2k. My good weeks are usually about 2500. An exceptional week is a little higher. I almost never have a week where I run less than 3500 miles. Infact, I consider anything under that a bad week.

Reasons for this: -The right lane goes onto the shoulder, which is not designed to handle the weight of a fully loaded truck. -The right lane is typically not level, and can throw a truck off course, causing an accident. -The lanes are not wide enough to fit trucks side by side Trucks stay left (unless exiting), Cars stay right. Traffic would move better. I know this is obvious, but clearly it isn’t.

Not Cool, couple months back on the PA Northeast Ext there is a no truck/bus in the right Lane thru the construction zone it is pretty time tight and traffic was rolling fine, but there were a couple Tractor Trailer Drivers flying up the right lane. Had to be extra careful in the bus with guys doing that.

running the right lane when restricted is a $200 fine plus court costs, it is considered a traffic control device its same as running a red light. 10 points on your csa score and dl points in Ohio. so 4 wheelers can kiss my donkey.
