How does this motorcycle perform in hill climbs? Does it lack power or need to rev upto higher rpm?

Thank you for watching. This motorcycle is 125cc, twin engine. As you asked, it lacks power. And it's a high-revving engine. I love the exhaust sound at high rpm. I also love Honda engines from this era.

@@cubnormal Here in Sri Lanka, we still use many of these motorcycles. Honda CD125, CD125 benly, CD185, CD200. I have a workshop and I specilize in these kind of parallel twin motorcycles. But CB125 is not that popular here. Most of them were scrapped or abondened due to lack of power. Because CB125 has a 180 crank angle and it's suitable for higher speeds not for torque. But CD series has 360 crank angle which is good for torque rather than speed.

@@garage9732 You are very knowledgeable about quirks! In Japan, it existed as CD125T. I used to own one myself. However, I lost it in the tsunami of March 11, 2011. The CD125 (360° crank) was a very nice motorcycle. I would like to own it again if I have a chance. Thank you for your comment.

@@cubnormal Once I converted a CB125 engine to a CD125 engine due to lack of power. Exactly same motorcycle as yours. Rebuilt the crank from 180 to 360 and changed camshaft. It definitely increased torque but CB125 transmission and CD125 transmission is totally different. Also I also convert old 6 volt, CB point ignition systems to 12 volt, CDI ignition systems of CD125 motorcycles. Because from factory it came as 6 volt, CB point ignition systems. It increases performance way above than how it came originally. Can I get any of your personal contacts?
It is really nice to see , I have this bike HONDA CB125T JC06, and I want to buy some parts for my bike, unfortunately I live in france I don't find the parts in here. is there any Japan websites that I can trust to buy parts for this motorbike. thank you

Thank you for watching. There are stores in Japan that import and sell parts made in China. However, they do not sell them overseas. How about "eBay"?

@@cubnormal Thank you for your response, I am not big fan of chinese parts. that is the reason I am looking for the authentic Japan parts for my bike, how about you, are you using chinese parts?
@cubnormal29 күн бұрын
@@AthithanPonnampalam-b3l First, I look for used parts made in Japan. If I can't find any, I use Chinese parts. It's hard to get genuine parts even in Japan. My CDI and tank cap are made in China. It's not a particularly important part.
