is the 2004 gxsr fork a bolt on swap?
@michaels.3335 жыл бұрын
on a 550 it is, besides welding the fork stops on the neck of the frame (but you can probably find a way to just bolt new ones on).

Hi Michael. Roughly, what was the cost for the work Mike did for you?
@michaels.3335 жыл бұрын
I believe it was about 1200, but my head was in pretty bad shape before I sent it to him and needed new valves, valve guides, and valve seats.

What’ve you done to get those rearsets on? Did you buy the bracket and weld it to the frame where the passenger pegs were?
@michaels.3336 жыл бұрын
I just bought the cheapest set of used rearsets I could find and then made a bracket out of 1/4" steel and welded it to the frame.
@charliemetcalfe62226 жыл бұрын
Michael Seyller. Did you buy those ‘
@michaels.3336 жыл бұрын
yes, I think one of the rearsets is of a cbr 929. I just found it on ebay with the linkage and bracket for $15, and then welded on the tab that attaches it to the frame.
@charliemetcalfe62226 жыл бұрын
Michael Seyller I’m struggling to find that bracket 😬

heres one that is similar to mine that is off a r6 www.ebay.com/itm/W-03-05-YAMAHA-R6-R6S-LEFT-REARSET-REAR-SET-DRIVER-FOOT-PEG-REST-STOP-OEM-STOCK/401521230405?hash=item5d7c87c245:g:CmgAAOSw94Bazohv:sc:USPSPriority!73179!US!-1 and heres the brake www.ebay.com/itm/2004-03-04-06-09-YAMAHA-YZFR6S-YZF-R6S-R6-OEM-RIGHT-REARSET-BRAKE-PEDAL-FOOT-PEG/323158048404?hash=item4b3db87e94:g:Z3EAAOSwgflasQg7:sc:USPSPriority!73179!US!-1 You just have to look for a while to find what your looking for. They also make universal rearsets but there usually north of $100.

Where did you buy the speedometer looks cool..
@michaels.3336 жыл бұрын
I made the dash that holds the gauges, the tach is from ebay and the speedo was a bicycle speedo from Walmart; but im going to get koso gauges for it next. You should give them a look, their gauges are pretty much all in one and they are small, about 2.5".
