The same week that TOTP Saturday and Dick & Dom were on the BBC, SMTV Gold debuted over on the other side which lasted over four months. Meanwhile on BBC Two, Saturday Kitchen was on - in the years to come it was about to arrive on BBC One come spring 2006.

The earliest footage I can find of the CBBC Continuity in the tweaked TC9 was in the Saturday Show video tape that was on the 23rd August 2003 and was uploaded to KZbin. Also, you can compare what TC9 looked like in 2002 to how it looked in the video that you'd be watching. I like the soundtracks that can be heard in the background in this video. I wonder if anyone could remake them.

Ended up doing a bit of homework and found this. Doesn't seem like a nice person at all. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5rSZIyeqc2le5I

Saturday morning kids T.V. Began its slow death when Zoe and Jamie left Live & Kicking. All the preceding Saturday morning kids shows were called kids but as a general rule, it covered a big age range for kids (children to teens). Shows like Dick & Dom made the mistake of being shock T.V. Which doesn't cater to all age ranges under the "kid" umbrella and if you ever needed proof that was the case, have a look at your T.V. Guide for this coming Saturday morning and future Saturday mornings, news until 10am and then a fucking cooking show.

It's easy to lay the blame on the Dick And Dom themselves, though viewing figures were falling on both BBC and ITV around the same time. BBC moving their Saturday shows to BBC Two and ITV giving up altogether more or less shows them admitting defeat.

@@RobinBlamires That is why I said the long slow death began. Whether unintentional or not, Emma Ledden (I forget the bloke's name) that took over Zoe & Jamie, not learning from history that it is best to change the name of the show every 5 years, putting 4 presenters on further on, seasons being a thing I.E. 30 week/22 week cycle it normally was, numerous things but Dick and Dom certainly wasn't the way forward IMO. Back to Swap Shop, way before my time, they all had something at least in common which was my overall point, they catered to a wide age-range. When you start aiming at 1 demographic that historically you haven't, you either piss off or alienate a large proportion of your audience and shows that do that historically either die or limber to a death.
