Steven Page's voice adds a lot of appeal to the BNL songs. He belongs back on stage with band. Without him, it's like a starfish with a missing arm.
@ghostnote-65 жыл бұрын
I'll be honest, I only tried one BNL album post-Page, and didn't care for it. But I do really like a lot of the stuff from Page's solo albums. His voice (and songwriting) is the biggest part of what drew me to BNL.

Honestly, I think it's up to Stephen page at this point to rejoin. He's kind of selfish and dark for bnl, but I would welcome him with open arms back to bnl if I were ed. He wrote and performed songs like "the old apartment" that has helped me through my breakup. Talented individual and one of the founding members that's been through dark times.

BNL singing “If I had a Million Dollars” is a piece of Canadiana. It’s goes so much deeper than it just being a song. There are some truly Canadian moments, and this song back in 1990 or whatever it was, that was Canada. The whole country sang it together.

Lots of good memories... I have a funny story for you here... This was at a Bar/Venue called Bourbon Street Club in QC, Canada. I went there to see Blue Rodeo and was very tired because I came back home from Toronto the same day (6hrs drive) + the drive to that venue. So I arrived and saw one of my good friends at the consol and learn he was their new tour manager. So we sat the consol to enjoy the show. After that, he invited me backstage (they had a big stage outside instead of using the small stage inside) and we chilled there for a few moments. Very nice guys! Then my friend asked me "Wanna see our home?" (It's the tour bus and that's the only true privacy a band has when touring except for the hotels from time to time). So we walk in, and there is Basil Donovan sitting on the front couch. My friend says: "xxxx this is Basil, our bass player. Basil, this is my good friend xxxx". And me, very tired to say... "Hi Bass!" You should have seen Basil's face... I let you guess what went through his mind at that moment LOL. I then said: "Sorry, it's one of those days.... long drive from TO to home, then to here to see you guys". We all had a good laugh. :D

Saw them in 2005 in Calgary. It was my first concert and I was too young to appreciate it. Their music is just ... comforting ❤

They absolutely need to do at least one big reunion tour together! Maybe to celebrate Covid being over, it would help heal the world. BNL needs that special chemistry with Steven back!

I saw these guys back in '94. It was my first concert ever. At the Kraft Dinner part they opened actual boxes of it and ate the dry macaroni and cheese powder. The crowd went wild.
