Although her speculative tale is rife with sex robots and voluntary prisons, all is not lost. I've been watching Atwood interviews all week and I love how cheeky and sharp she can be. But when the interviewer is respectful, intelligent and articulate, [like shad always is] she's much more serious and I think you can tell she appreciates being there more. Thanks for being you, Shad!

I like the way she simplified the problem with bill c-51 by pointing out that you yourself could be mistakenly identified as a terrorist where you would have no recourse. Basically, put yourself in the place of the victim and suddenly you wouldn't stand for this. Empathy goes a long way, and I think it is a covert theme across many of her works.

Sorry, Mags, but after 2020, people found out what Dystopian means in real life, when it steps out of the pages of novels, turns into a bloodthirsty hurricane and then hurls them into the abyss. It's very unlikely they'll want to revisit the experience.
