Been to Cambodia many times years ago for work but never got to see Angkor Wat, only stayed in Phnom Penh and always loved it, the place just has a cool vibe about it like no place else and yes the people are awesome!

Most impressive temple I have ever visited. The area around Siem Reap has so many incredible places to visit. The ride there in convoy behind a police car opening the road must have pretty smooth! I will go back there one day from Thailand driving by Trat. Must be quite an interesting drive.

Ankor is absolutely stunning in person. You could spend days there and still not see everything. I would love to see just the inner paddock where you were sitting chad completely cleaned of all mold and polished back to pristine condition just to see what it really looked like in its former glory. Angkor Wat area estimated to house 800 000 people back in its prime time. Meanwhile London housed 8000 people... Just to give some perspective. This area was massive a thousand years ago. I've been there and went to the history museum in siem reap. Its a truly amazing place to visit. Also, a tombraider movie was filmed at Angkor Wat.

It's hard to imagine now but there was a huge city built around Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, at the time, perhaps the World's largest metropolitan area.

@@luchernou627 unfortunately 50000 is wrong.. London didn't have 50k+ ppl until 13th century.. a simple google search can help you out. And no-one knew if it was 800k or 1 million in angkor wat area 1050 years ago.. There is way too little evidence to make a proper assumption. But thanks for trying. Hope you enjoy siem reap life.

The road between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap has been decent since before the first time I rode it in 2011 or so. There are definitely some bad roads in Cambodia but not one of the main ones.

Great video, I took a motorcycle trip from Pattaya through Cambodia and Laos, I will have to go through Siem o Sihanoukville, to Phnom Penh to Southern Laos recently. Next time I will go through Siem Reap to Phnom Penh.
