It seems that a lot of Buckeyes have been religious for quite a while now. Master Teague wrote a book about his faith while at Ohio State. I need to finish reading that book. He’s an excellent example. Also, CJ Stroud.

No serious Georgia fan is blaming Jones for the defeat. If they are, they aren't football fans they just want something to complain about. 2-17 on 3rd/4 down, kickoff return for td to open 2nd half and -2 turnover ration plus 5 sacks allowed and less than 100 yards rushing. Enough? I think so

Colorado State? A split with Georgia Tech and Miami? You just blew any credibility with those two comments. Come on, guys. It was Colorado and it was Washington and Miami. Glory to God, but learn what you are talking about with the subject before commenting. Dabo Swinney gave glory to Jesus when he won titles and there was Tebow and many others.
@737smartin4 күн бұрын
I can’t give you, “lost all credibility,” but it’s an interesting topic. Here are the AP-Coaches poll split championships (there ARE even more organizations that anoint champions, so still more schools claim titles): AP Coaches 2003 USC LSU 1997 Michigan Nebraska 1991 Miami (FL) Washington 1990 Colorado Georgia Tech 1978 Alabama USC 1974 Oklahoma USC 1973 Notre Dame Alabama 1970 Nebraska Texas 1965 Alabama Michigan State 1957 Auburn Ohio State 1954 Ohio State UCLA
@bradtaylor47653 күн бұрын
@@737smartin Know your topic before making ridiculous comments, though. Colorado State hates Colorado and vice versa and that's like calling Texas A$M the University of Texas. Its' insulting to us Longhorns. Then, Washington was insulted by leaving them out of 1991. They only have that championship so to leave them out is losing credibility to me Then, they act like this is something brand new which it isn't.
@737smartin3 күн бұрын
@bradtaylor4765 But... 20 year old college football knowledge is not THE topic here. It was a side-tangent they brought up; and, yes, they were completely blew the details on that history tangent. The topic here is Christian players speaking openly to the press and the nation about their faith, which is why I say I don't agree they lost ALL credibility.
@bradtaylor47653 күн бұрын
@@737smartin Either way, the topic is not accurate either. Ever hear of a guy named Tebow? This isn't new, but the more it happens I would be happier. It's just not that unusual in a Christian country for us to have a few Christian athletes among many
@mj64933 күн бұрын
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finished the 1990 season with an 11-0-1 record and won the UPI Coaches poll by one vote over Colorado. Georgia Tech defeated Nebraska 45-21 in the Florida Citrus Bowl. The Colorado Buffaloes finished the season with an 11-1-1 record and won the AP poll after defeating Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl. That was the shared National Championship you are remembering.

On a side NFL note, during the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl season a few years back it was essentially a revival in the locker room. Quarterbacks Nick Foles and Carson Wentz were leading their teammates to Christ. In fact Nick Foles who has attended seminary college was Baptising players in hotel pools when they were on the road.
