I've had 2 of these, separated by a few years, back in the 90's. The only bike I ever wanted another one of, and quite simply one of the best bikes, of any capacity, ever built.

Redline is 14500RPM and produces 59bhp. This one is the NC29. The NC23 you mentioned is the earlier late '80s gen CBR400RR. This is pretty much the same thing but with a gull-arm instead of a tri-arm and this one was made to look like the then-new Fireblade.

Me and my other half both have Nc29's. After having 3 CBR600's she fell in love with the NC29, picked one up and 3 months later I had one to lol. I'd sooner jump on the 400 any day of the week as its definitely more smiles per miles and in country side down some twisties they are just brilliant fun.

Fack me! That is just THE perfect bike. Instantly fell in love when I saw ridingwithTom's testride of the 250RR, they simply look amazing, sound amazing and I'm shure it rides amazing! Light, nimble, power that you can actually use on the streets and rev the fuck out of it without loosig your license. Virtually impossible to get here in Norway, probably getting the 500r as my first bike, tricolor ofcourse! Taking my test this thursday, wish me luck!

How tall are you? I am getting one in a couple of weeks and when i took it for a very quick test ride i didn't really pay attention with the size ect. didn't seem to be a problem but i kinda forgotten. I am 6'3 or 6'4. so would you have any feed back or advice for someone as tall as me?
