Anyone else notice the paint scheme is a combination of 2 CBR400 NC29 schemes,? Front and side panels are Scheme 5 but the tail section is Scheme 8. Or at least that's how they came in Japan and Europe, maybe they were different in SA, but I doubt it. Still looks ok though.

@Davidsplace19 I own a cb400sf nc31 it makes 53hp , it has the same bore x stroke with the cbr 55mm x 42mm , but I think the cbr has 59hp cause carbs , exhaust and maybe more aggressive camshafts , otherwise it has the same compression ratio too!

@Davidsplace19 David I read about cbr400rr nc29 specs , and found that from 1990 until 1992 it was 59hp with shorter 4 gear and Keihin VP01A 32mm carbs , and from 1993 until 1998 it has longer 4 gear and different carbs Keihin VP01B 32mm with restriction outputs 53hp, I never found that from 59 goes up to 65hp. I guess you are right about carbs restriction but wrong for horsepower.

Totally agree. I wish they will do a reproduction of the 400's inline 4 and the baby v4 .

Its on the way they are planning the rival to the zx4rr.but its something on this old bikes thats very appealing to me.perhaps its just nostalgia because I grea up in the 90s....

So good! I just came from a video claiming the '99 ZXR to be the best sounding 400cc bike and man, this is just on another level...! Sounds like you man doing about 160mph there hahah, Looove it! ❤
