MT-09 top speed is capped at 140mph so course you will catch it .. and for obv reasons bcos it gets twitchy ... I’ve had a tuned R6 and onto MT-09 now and the torque in MT09 is off charts .. A lot more comfortable as well ..

Steering stabilizer and a flashed ecu I’ve had mine up to 165 mph, felt stable as hell …wind is the only thing that limited me going faster (felt like I was gonna get ripped off) I still had plenty of throttle left

Doing a top speed race against a naked bike is kind of obvious, you have a MAJOR advantage there. Up a mountain road the outcome will be different though

For the most part yes, some of the naked bikes like the Streetfighter V4, KTM 1290 and the H2 naked have enough power to do 300.

I just bought an fz 09 for my first bike a few months back. identical to the one in the video. They are devilishly quick through 1st and second gear. 1st is so short if you're racing just don't use it. 2nd rides out too almost 160 kph. and 3rd too almost 200. after that the bike doesn't have any thing else to give. But that torque in 1st and 2nd I'd bet would pull on some 1000cc bikes at least too 160 kph.

If you ECU flash it it has more to give on 5th and 6th gear and you could get it up to 250-270 KM/H. Yamaha has locked the rpm on 5th and 6th gear so you cant go higher than 8000-9000 I think. So the 6th gear is basically useless from factory.

Yea with my stock tune its 132MPH sadly. Rode a tuned one and got it to 160mph tucked in as best I could.

Torque house lol @ pull on some 1000s. I just raced my buddies mt09 with a full graves system and tune vs my 15 year old 1000 with just a slip on. wasnt even close. not even in 1st.

+Rec Helmet The MT-09 doesn't have the top end of a 600 but he has you on torque all the way from the bottom to the top.

The mt-09 has more torque then the cbr. But it is a naked bike, the gear ratio is much shorter and it is build to ride in canyons. It is no supersport bike, so it has no wind protection. It is like riding a closet in the wind. :) Try to battle it on a curvy highway.

ps.. it has nothing to do with the wind coming from the sides..like you said its a bike for the canyons..... it has everything to do with the wind and air coming head on...a super sport has fairings..a naked bike does not...it makes a major difference.

For highway pulls a supersport vs an fz09 is not really a fair race. Fz09 is not made or geared for high speeds. 0-60 on the other hand the fz09 would win. As long as the rider can keep the front wheel on the ground. The fz is a wheelie machine.

Got my 14 Fz09 in 2014 ...waited😣 some upgrades...i still eat R1s from light to light..lol...every 6er wants ro race me ...WHY....I never even see them at next stop light after wr race. Most the time i hear the for 1 ..2 seconds..lol..600 got no poo .mi used i hand to smokeone once..lol...keep it up Yamaha...MT 10 in 2 mounts😍😍😍😍my 5 years iis up on fz9.....it smokes my GSXR1000.. Doing a 0-150km/h race and the MT-09 will annihilate most sportsbikes. It's made for torque and brutal city acceleration. Not going street Rossi. And it's scary. A 1000 sportsbike doesn't scare me. But the MT-09 does. Maybe it's the seating position or something but it just wants to kill you.

A S1000 é covardia, a RR 600 é lenda e ícone da modernidade de esportivas na minha opinião, a MT 09 faz bem seu papel ao que se propôs a fazer. São 3 excelentes motos! Mas a S1000 é a moto a ser batida no momento sem dúvida é sem contar tecnologia de ponta né. Agora tem a H2R e a nova R1 né não tenho conhecimento sobre elas pra falar. Parabéns pelo vídeo show

Yo tengo la MT09 2020, el problema de esa moto es que su arodinamica no es buena, todo el aire te pega en el cuerpo y sientes mucho la presion. por ese minimo detalle la CBR600RR Tiene ventaja.

Correct. Even with tank grips my legs hurt trying to grip myself on the bike over 200kmh. You definitely need a windscreen but it won't look pretty on the bike.

The cbr is the same power but with less torque, other sport bikes with more power like a gixer600 or ninja636 there would of been less of a difference....but tbh power doesn't really come into it at these speeds its aerodynamics thats important

hi, what parameters were adjusted/changed with the ecu flash? did you change your sprockets too? i had my 2017 Mt09 reflashed, fastest speed i get is 225kph (140 mph).

I could be wrong but the top speed for an mt09 is sth like 225-230 km/hr right? If that's the case I've seen mt09s do 250+ which must mean they have adjusted sprockets. I could be wrong tho.

Com as pistas de lá é mano, agr as pistas do Brasil toda remendada aconselho a trocar, tenho uma cbr600 2014 e mano.... Treme muito com as ondulações das estradas entao eu contrei um amortecedor de direção e coloquei e melhorou 90%
