Wow, this was one for the books. You had the 77-78 effects and colors with the 75-76 typeface.

Who knew that John Hillermann, after the Betty White show, would find success teaming with Tom Selleck on Magnum PI?

CBS's slogan 4 its 1977-78 season was "There's Something in the Air". "The 32 Days of Fabulous February!"-a slogan CBS used during da 1978 sweeps. BTW; I didn't exist 'til 1988, 10-11 years after that season.

"WONDER WOMAN" moved to CBS in the fall of '77 [Fridays, 8pm(et)] as "THE NEW ADVENTURES OF WONDER WOMAN", with the time frame moved from 1942 to "the present", and a sexier, "updated" costume for Lynda Carter (courtesy of designer Donfeld); what you see here is actually the opening title [and VERY fleeting pilot scenes] from the ABC version, as no new footage was ready at the time this was assembled. Same with "THE TONY RANDALL SHOW".

Patrick McGoohan had high expectations for "Rafferty"... alas, things just didn't "gel" and the show was cancelled... personally, I can't see him playing a doctor, especially in the late 1970s. NOW he would fit right in, though! ;-)

It was around this period that ABC became the No. 1 most-watched television network. First time in its history.

I loved the clip for Rhoda..I would have flipped for it back in 77. There was no Joe and she was just newly divorced.

Rhoda was superb from episode 1 til episode 110, its last.

@fromthesidelines I wondered as a kid why they called it "new adventures" when the show wasn't even on the air all that long but then after reading more and investigating,I realized they moved networks and set it in the then-modern day.I don't know why they didn't set it there when it was on ABC.

Good Grief CBS.....some of these shows look just terrible. But I did love Logan's Run and could stare at Wonder Woman all day.

Do you also have the September 1977 "CBS Galaxy" season preview special hosted by Dick Van Dyke? If so, can you post it? I've been trying to submit the info for that special to IMDb.com, but they don't seem to believe the special actually existed, as I tried to submit said info twice already. I guess they need some kind of *visual* proof.

Most of these shows vanished into thin air before they really got a chance because I never heard of most of them like The Fitzpatrick's and Logan's Run(TV series).

@Y2p731 It seems there's always a few new shows that are not destined to make it through the fall season every year.let alone the whole season.
