"Thank you, Apollo 8. You saved 1968." - One of the letters sent to the astronauts.

Thank you for this. A return to my youth (17 years old when this occured). I don't think it is possible to express to younger generations the amazing world we lived in at that time. The best of times and the worst of times. I truly believe that those of us of a certain age who experienced 1968 are a bit different.; we lived our lives differently somehow. We had seen it all...

It’s July 2022 and the crew of Apollo 8 is still all here. I was 8 when they flew to the Moon. Great to see this broadcast again.

I was 10 years old, our family was glued to the TV, watching this wonderful transmission. We all held our breath waiting for them to come home.

There will never be another space mission like Apollo 8. It captured my imagination at nine years old and still does. Here’s to hoping that a space mission will soon inspire nine year olds of today. Also hoping that these astronauts bring along Major Matt Mason…….😊

That's a joke, the Artemis program. We're struggling just to get back not like it was back in '68.

6:36 “We’ve taken a conservative approach to this mission…” Well …. not really!
