SW Colorado on the last day of April. I remember listening to these when these first aired as a preteen every night and Sunday evenings at the dinner table

04-30-24 Listening in Southern Ontario, Canada, 43* N. I enjoyed and appreciated the story this evening very much. A beautiful telling of the story, indeed. We are very lucky to have these recordings, with these wonderful actors. Very warm weather for the next few days, so a homemade cold potato salad with fresh herbs for tomorrow, along with oven roasted chicken and homemade vanilla ice cream with pieces of Belgian dark chocolate! A very good night to all, and pleasant dreams, always ! 🙏❤🫠 (we have a wild rabbit, for the third year in a row, whose made our backyard her home - I call her Esmeralda. And Freddie, the red squirrel, shows up twice a day at the kitchen door for the peanuts we feed him). ☺

I listened to this on 5/30/24 and I enjoyed the story. However, I believe they made a small error by playing "taps" at the beginning and ending of the story. The story was supposed to be set a 150 years ago. figuring that this was probably first played in the mid-70s, that would make it approximately 1820. Taps was not written until 1862 by Col. Daniel Butterfield. Therefore "taps" could not have been played at the funeral in the story. Oh well, no matter.
