We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. T. S. Eliot....i love that he quoted this and that is so aware of being unaware of his journey yet he knows he is home...and Yes Glenn did ultimately have the last word on the end of the Eagles tours. What a brotherhood...what music...what a Band

That's what I thought when I heard him say Glenn was going to have to call it. I still tear up over him being gone. It's like knowing someone and growing up with them whispering in your ear all these years, growing up and still even in my early 50's I just don't grow tired of any of it. Its a part of us, I truly believe that. There are no bands left like this anymore. We were blessed with the "BEST" music period. Best song writers. Seldom do you get both. I listen to music instead of watching tv , I grew up with a music being played literally. . Glenn Frey and Don Henley are are the masters of what they achieved. A lot of hard work went into the Eagles. I don't see anyone doing what they have achieved. I don't think we'll ever see this again. My boys say we had the best music ever. Thank you so much to the Eagles for all your hard work and your making my teenage years great. I can still remember finding album "Hotel California " under the couch where my parents had it hid for Christmas

But there comes a time when we put away our former toys. I got some definite eternal treasures to share with you that just might resonant within your soul. Everyone is looking for truth to our existence. That True Light. Peace with GOD and Open honesty with no pretenses. The Only higher level of life that is genuine. Don is kinda serious and "all business" in interviews, but he always has interesting stories to tell, and I love his singing voice as well as hearing him talk. I'm in my early 30s and with Glenn passing away, it really makes me think about my own childhood and time passing, makes me sad how many singers I grew up with are dying or are nearing retirement.

I live 35 miles from Linden and work there. A nice little town, and he is well thought of for all that he does to preserve it's heritage. Maybe he comes off a bit arrogant, but hey, I think he has earned it. Just being a Texan gives him the right to some of the arrogance. Then factor in that he is in one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and has had a helluva solo career, and he has definitely earned that right. The so-called country singers of today need to listen to his newest album and take some lessons from it.

Don is a good guy. He wanted to save Walden Woods and Pond from development which he help do along with saving the architecture of his home town. Some work of fate how a guy from Detroit (Glenn Frey) and a guy from Texas (Don Henley) could team up and become the greatest band out of L.A. If you want to learn about a piece of America (some of us lived it) that had a hand in shaping the Nation, take a look at the L.A. (Laurel Canyon, Weston's Troubadour nightclub, record industry types) music scene from the mid 60's all the way through the 70's (you still will not get the answer to what "Hotel California" is all about). Miss you already Glenn Frey.

Regarding the song: LOVER's MOON by legendary Glenn Frey. Underrated but... perhaps and arguably the best "Rock Lullaby" song ever written. It should also make the Guinness world record for... "The lowest registered note of a lead guitar in rock history!" Pls refer to 3:31 then a repeat on 3:58. My thought points to either Glenn was carried away by the descending pattern of the rift or he was just in one of those "creative moments" via use of some "catalyst". He may not have been really fully aware on how 'extremely' low he went with this hook/rift... "where no guitarist has ever gone before"! In fact, it went so low & deep that his guitar at one point almost sounded a little flat or nearly out of tune (whew!) On the serious and sincere side: Glenn Frey's brilliance will be "deeply" missed... both with & without pun intended! A very vital part of the phenomenon called: The EAGLES.
