Los Angeles fire compared to 1906 quake fire in San Francisco; The fires destroyed approximately 25,000 - 28,000 buildings across 490 city blocks. The fires cost an estimated $350 million at the time, which is equivalent to $8.9 billion in 2023. The earthquake and fires killed over 3,000 people and left around 225,000 people homeless. The city was nearly rebuilt by 1915, took 9 years to recover.

The 522 blocks in the heart of San Francisco that was destroyed by an 8.3 magnitude earthquake beginning at 5:12 am on April 18, 1906, and consumed by fire which took nearly three days to contain, was largely rebuilt by mid-1908.

The poor thing. Some think that way. My hubby & I got married in Sept. 93. A pipeline exploded behind our townhouse community & we had to run. Lost all. Wedding rings, photos, literally the clothes on our backs.

People having the houses along mountain. Should design water pipes with showers on the roofs and around your house with automatic system control and manual. Plus cameras support more functions connect your phones when fire hit . You all make pools contain water for that . If each house have above water pipes systems. Fire could be down
