100-year-old skier at peak performance

At 100 years old Lou Batori is still skiing -- and still ski racing -- and he has no plans to stop. Bill Geist caught up with Lou on the slopes of the annual gathering of Midwest chapter of the 70+ ski club in Nubs Nob, Michigan and watched as he hit the racecourse.

Wow! I love Lou’s attitude… sunny morning… freshly groomed… only one… and sanity flies out the window. I’ve skied since I was a young kid. Now at 63 I still love going back to the same bit of ski slope that I used to go straight down, no turns, ever since I was a teenager. Exhilarating. Same deal every year. I hope I can still do that when I’m Lou’s age. (I see on Wiki that Lou has gone to that great big ski slope in the sky)

See it's proof that older skiers don't die, they just go downhill :) True lovers of skiing (that's most who've ever tried it) would never consider giving it up just because of age alone. And an injury? Hell no! Get it healed and get back on those skis! Skiing is LOVE, it's kind of like pets and family, you just would never consider parting with it.
