Hey I passed mine but this was my third time writing the exam. I had 32/40 for score. They made it an online exam now. It used to be that we had to go write it on a test day at their designated facility. I actually got lucky and was exempted from the test just before it was implemented with post secondary credentials. Did my interview, did my PARE test, did my psych evaluation, did my medical exam too so just waiting now. Good luck it's a super long process and if it's what you want to do you have to keep trying I got discouraged and stopped applying for 2 years and just decided to give it another shot this time. @@TheRealTakeDown I have my RPAL so yes I've finished those courses. Takes a long time that's why I did it years ago. Interview was weird cuz they make the questions so that certain details throw you off, you gotta focus on what's important and prepare your answers, second part was role play so you have to be able to act as the officer. Good luck, this process is so long I was almost ready to just call it quits if I wasn't so close. I'm just trying to save some money cuz at Rigaud you don't get much allowance at all.

I finished my exam with 30 seconds left on my timer x) very tough exam, really makes you think things through! managed to get 7/10 on all competencies. my tip is to Make sure you get a good nights rest and you're mentally prepared before starting the exam! Also like you said, you can go back and fourth so if ever you're stuck on a question just skip it and go back later. just took my interview in person and a tip for that is to stay calm and trust your instincts and behave like you would normally, and im sure you'll do great! they are really nice people so dont be intimidated ! Keep it up! get your firearms licenses while you wait ;)

Just gave the exam. Damn, it was tough, nothing like what I practiced. It felt like I was learning letters while the exam was to write an essay. Probably failed it but have a slim hope of passing.

Hey, no problem at all that's why I wanted to make this video. The OTEE exam is done on your computer you don't need to go somewhere to take it. Unfortunately there is not much on the test materials online because sharing that specific test info is against CBSA policy and could hurt your chances of getting into the career. That's why I didn't share the types of questions in this video. If you google it, you might be able to come up with something but I had no luck when I tried. Thank you, I hope I do as well. I have to wait a year but i just got hired at a casino for security until then. I hope you pass when you take it!

I just did my Otee. Finished with 9 minutes to spare. The writing skills questions really make you think. I personally found it pretty fun to do. Some questions really stump you though. Patiently waiting on my results 🙏

Wouldn't it have made sense to aim for a good score regardless of how it was graded? I mean, you do know that higher scores make you a more competitive applicant in the rest of the process, right? And not only that, but you also get more say in where you're placed in Canada.

Yes it would make more sense but the word problems are what got me. As long as I pass the word problems my marks for the rest were in the 90's

Glad you enjoyed the video! Usually they will email you the results in a couple of weeks after completing the exam. They will give you the results of each of the 4 parts so if you are unsuccessful you know what to practice on for the next time you take the test. Hope that helps 🙂

Yea you do, it's a standard entrance exam now. I've emailed them about this and they said everyone writes it. In the past processes, you could be exempted from writing 2 standardized tests they were WCPT and GCT2

@@rajon5146 I had my RPAL and some enforcement experience and some post secondary education. They want you to be familiar with firearms. Post secondary education is an asset. Being bilingual helps, how much I dono. You have to be able to be decisive and articulate yourself and your reasons when answering those situational questions that will be asked.

Main thing is if you can pass their stages of testing and stuff then thats all that matters. If you feel you are ready then go for it. And many would argue that anyhow these are the subjects thought to you during your training, once you get selected.

ENTRACE EXAM FOR WHAT??? To be hired?? If you have college you don't need to do it!! One thing don't give up and try again like I do with ATS tests its crazy fail you as they need and cash grab.. How is at the College once you get in is it hard academically?? Let me know

Oscar change what?? So with college diploma you have to write that OTEE test??? Jeez they will miss a lot of people as lot of people don’t want to be cops today due to ATS testing pure cash grab and barrier and that’s if you are selected for interview... Let me know what cbsa changed

@@alanh8101 When I emailed them specifically to ask they told me there weren't any exceptions for the OTEE. In the older processes there were and I agree.

Oscar and how is that OTEE exam?? I have done everything possible and been armoured guard for 15 yrs and corporate Security for Transport Canada The only question I have how I will do academically at Riguad do they fail people or they will pass you as long you do your thing... Also for posting people they say you get to choose 3 ports close to you if you have two kids and family it ain’t easy plus sell house and move.. I’ll be looking to apply cbsa hopefully later this year or next Give me some tips if you don’t mind and I’ll help you to as well anything your curious

@@alanh8101 I can't speak for Rigaud yet because I am waiting for my clearance to process still. Some people don't think it's worth it. I only applied because I am a bachelor and my situation may be different than others. People definitely drop out of Rigaud in training for failing certain parts but I'm sure if you follow instructions and pass whatever they throw at you then it should be fine. Problem is they only give you an allowance you don't get a salary so some people have an issue with that financially. Not much tips to give, mostly common sense and make sure you read the forums at blueline there are 2 threads there on CBSA topics......As for the OTEE you don't get a lot of time for the amount of questions they give you, it's similar to any other entrance exam but they throw in some word problems that are related to cbsa duties.
