What a view of the storm. He mentioned Portuguese Stew. I went to Rhode Island to learn how to make it and get the meat that they use. They also told me to put it on Portuguese rolls and eat it that way. So good! I got a lot of the meat there and special things I couldn't get at home in Western, N.Y. I made a big batch and put it in the freezer. I had some today, as I was thinking of all in the storm's path! Sending prayers

I remember my father took his boat out there and I was with him, about 3 years old. we went into the light house. I'll never forget that. When I saw it was for sale I wanted to buy it, but would have had to win the lottery probably to do that. There are amazing photos of the light house with wave crashes that go about all the way to the top. I wish I was out there with you, stay safe and have a wonderful time .

Coolest weather spot ever!! More of this!!! Love it!!! Why not let this guy go on scene?? !! Weather guy, you should go independent! Few watch regular TV anymore and those who pop in to regular TV do it for the weather usually so go indi and decide where you go and when for yourself, live stream where people can donate!! Can't wait for your lighthouse episode!!!

This is a perspective that I have never seen. I was TAD (Temporary Assigned Duty) when I was in the Coast Guard from USCG Sta. Point Allerton in Hull, MA. back in 1977 when the lighthouse was being automated. I had to spend an extra week on the lighthouse because of the weather like this. It was not fun, myself and another Coastie did not have all the luxuries as they have now, but it was an experience. This was not like where I grew up by, Gurnet Light in Duxbury, MA. You are abt 7 miles off the coast of Boston.

That was BEAUTIFUL . Wow This was the BEST so interesting . Personally , I would also use the lighthouse as a marker . Now I have to Google how many lighthouses are still being used ? Good Health to All .

Though Dave said he just bought Graves on a whim, he seemed very sensitive on the question of weather they are still used by "customers". Surly they are too. I imagine captains can get freaked out for sure in a storm. The more safety apparatus the better. It could be that sheer equipment could be fairly disorienting.
