So Stiff-Person Syndrome doesn't really usually affect men poor Celine Dion but I feel much better knowing I'll probably won't catch it one disease I don't need to worry about.

right now thats the assumption but with celine dion donating 2 million dollars for further research instead of 1 in a million its closer to 1 or 2 in 200,000 still mostly women but men are still impacted
@Rosannasfriend3 ай бұрын
There are still men that have it.
@classicsredone3 ай бұрын
She states that women have it more often, but men still account for nearly half of us. This woman is behind on some of the data. Most of it.

Celine's Dr. Says it is now 1 out of 100,000 on tv.

GAD antibodies are correlative, not causative. Other antibodies do affect those with medically-resistant varieties. Please try reaching out to the Stiff Person Syndrome Research Foundation to speak with doctors who are up on the facts.

It totally sounded like she gave a watered down explanation because if it was just am antibody it reaply sounds like soemthing that could he cured or managed with medications. Surely they did not have the right professional and definitely did not ask any important questions. A google search prob have more details

“Excited brain” is a term used for migraines. Stimuli triggers migraines in some people: lights, smells, sounds, temperature, air pressure, stress, hormones. What’s different about the brains in people who have intense reactions to triggers? Why are some peoples brains so sensitive?

This illness is similar to something I experienced only when I'm having some bear and lots of smoking singarets but people mock those with this syndrome the call it tang or klonjie here in South Africa

How about a doctor and some MEDICINE ? These home remedies don’t cure anything.
@GabrielHR552 ай бұрын
Why do they always asl the most obvious questions??? She said its rare rhats why you haven't heard of it! Whem she said it has to do with an antibody the best follow up is interesting so since it is know that an antibody can cause it does that mean its treatable maybe even possibly curable? What are treatments to help manage such a rare disease, or are there any? Common now. 😓

«The debilitating stiff person syndrome suffered by Celine Dion and one in a million people ... » STOP, all of you, to say and to write that "one in a million' suffers from this illness. That is false, and I will say it again, STOP making it as if it was so rare. This doctor should have been challenged for making such an gratuitous affirmation. Indeed, if you listened to Céline current doctor, as well as to others who deal with the illness daily, you would have learned quite some time ago that it is 2-3 persons in 100,000 (!) that are seriously affected by the illness. Do the math and you will realize how drastic the difference is in the number of people suffering. And even that number may be conservative

Celine needs the NEWSTART back to Basic and Eden’s diet. No human talent can cure illness caused by abuses and violation of health laws ,except God. Only the Lord can restore everything especially good health. She’s my favorite singer and love all her songs. Nutrition Exercise Water Sunshine Temperance Air Rest Trust in God This is called heavenly treatment Hope Celine will honor God first

I had autoimmune disease 2 years ago. Part of the plethora of symptoms were cramps, muscle twitching, restless leg and muscle weakness. I also had gut issues, rashes, breathing issues, depression, hypertension and ended up with Bell's Palsey where half my face became paralyzed. I did a nutrient dense anti-inflammatory diet and eliminating all stress to get better. All symptoms were gone within 2 months. I had a very bad diet and chronic work related stress prior. I totally feel that the body becomes nutrient deficient or cannot absorb nutrients properly during certain times, so giving the body the nutrients it needs to function is crucial and eliminating the foods that make the body overreact.

She is on her way death is around the corner sayth The Lord. She made her choice it's sad I know and stop praying for people who reject Jesus Christ. Believe me when I said she made her choice!

celine needs to accept that her career is over. shes achieved fame and fortune abd shes nearly 60 with a very serious illness now. she needs to accept the fact shes accomplished way more than most in their lives. she needs to retire and live a reculsive life in meditation, peace, quiet with Round the clock care among the closest family and friends. this is a very painful debilitating and chronic disease. its not gonna get better and she needs to put herself first before anything and anyone else now.
@mopthermopther3 ай бұрын
that’s true
@gudulpif2643 ай бұрын
You need to accept that you are a weaker person than she is, and that you’re the type of person who gives up and that’s okay. Not everyone is made to put up a fight. You need to accept that she’s shown on several occasions recently that she’s learning to be capable of managing her condition, and that she has access to professionals who help her to do so. You also need to accept that you need to change your profile picture, because if that’s a picture of yourself, it’s then too fitting with your handle cause it’s scary af. You need to accept that some people are made strong, while others like yourself, are made to fold up and disappear in their weakness. Lots of things we have to accept, and again, it’s okay.

Is it not obvious that her marriage caused this? She was 12 when she met her late husband, and he was 38. Like, how is this not obviously related to trauma?
@DonWinslow-cn7zx2 ай бұрын
No, they are NOT related. Celine met him at 12, but she was an adult when they got together. There's absolutely no connection. Stiff-Person Syndrome is a horrific condition.
