+Kyle Brown As a sort-of musician myself, yes, I don't use instruments either. It's about programming and plotting in MIDI, some performance and editing, and layering and building everything. Then once a song is complete, it's about the mixing process to make it all sound good. VERY time consuming.

I can't believe that in 2017 there are still people that don't think electronic music counts as real music. It follows all of the rules of music theory! Besides, technology has already been heavily utilized a lot in other genres. When someone plays an electric guitar, most of the time you aren't hearing what that guitar "actually" sounds like; the harsh sounds come from the amp. When someone plays a keyboard, you're listening to sounds that have been encoded digitally. When you listen to pop, most of the background behind the vocals has been produced in a studio (just like EDM).
