A true national treasure if ever there was one. Her voice can be so sweet and then she can turn around and sass with a tiger. And if that’s not enough she’s one of the finest guitarist of all time. God bless Bonnie Raitt!

She has been my favorite since 1973. I was in high school and heard her on kboo in Portland. Then I couldnot get enough, and believe I was one of her true followers. I remember always telling my friends one day she would make the big time. I enjoyed her early albums the most.....sigh.

@2:44, the interviewer asks BR, "How long can you do this for?", what an insulting question. Is he saying that she's too old to be a performer?? I expected a more professional interviewer.

At 3:05 to 3:25 Bonnie sounds not too bright. It's like how vacuous can she be. Bonnie Raitt never has much to say. We live in a wonderful world with so many things to do. There are many singers like Francoise Hardy, Kate Bush and Agnetha Faltskog who feel the complete opposite of how Bonnie feels. They want to just record but not give concerts because they want a life. Then there are other performers like Sade, and Morrissey who enjoy the road, but also love to be away from the road and do other things. Bonnie always comes across like an empty suit who gives nice predictable answers. She's such a bore. She never says anything compelling or interesting. I thing that's why she get awarded so much. Because she always does the safe and predictable thing in her music and interviews. Plus the guy interviewing her here seems like a phony. He was laughing so much at all that corny stuff she said. He was so annoying.
@Theo-hc5ob7 жыл бұрын
I would much rather be in front of an audience, getting instant feedback and feeling their energy, rather than being in a studio, doing endless takes. Also, it is how her heroes made their living: Being on the road, in small clubs and bars.

NOT EVERYONE THINKS ALIKE! YOU HAVE TO BE A LIBERAL SINCE YOUR THINKING IS ALL THAT COUNTS RIGHT?

Yeah, not too bright: Vacuous you say. Yep: Just the type of person that gets accepted into Radcliffe. But, glad your state school education, or spell check, helped you to spell vacuous. Good on you, cheers!
