@ryanmalone26815 ай бұрын
@@nathanmogary84 No, Bill is consistent on his values, not his political polarity. He’s logical and not only supporting ‘his team’. I’ve been watching him for like 30 years and that is what stands out. Also, what is PBD?
@nural20xx895 ай бұрын
On the contrary, he systematically does not invite those who oppose his ideology. Since the war in Gaza started ten months ago, he hasn’t dared to invite a single pro-Palestinian, like Cornel West, who used to be a guest on his show as long as they didn't talk about apartheid or the occupation. Bill Maher invites Republicans because, over time, he has become ideologically aligned with the less extreme faction of the Republicans. In most of his political views, he agrees with Republicans. For example, he is against free healthcare, against the forgiveness of student debt, and many other things. He criticizes liberals, opposes free speech for pro-Palestinians, is pro-gun rights... The only democratic values he still holds are being pro-LGBTQ rights and the legalization of marijuana.
@karagi1015 ай бұрын
@@nural20xx89How the hell do you know who he has invited and who he hasn’t invited or whether someone was invited and declined? You have some sort of inside information or are you a mind reader? Bill is and has remained a classic liberal. The left has changed and gone extreme left to the point it now is often fascist - opposing free speech. The right has also changed and gone extreme right to the point that it endorses totalitarian ideas that undermine democracy.
@ryanmalone26815 ай бұрын
@@nural20xx89 You’re a bit simple and don’t understand nuance. You think he has the same values as Kellyanne Conway. Bill has remained consistent, the far left has gone further left. He doesn’t have to support every position ‘his team’ does, he has values. His rationale is pretty sound on why he’s against things like college debt forgiveness. I agree with him. Go ahead and stay in your little bubble if you want, but you’re not helping to try and bring forth a shared reality, but Bill is.
