But there are other things the US could definitely learn from. Maybe not as far as them but certainly take it up a notch or five. A little commitment to community is not a bad thing. Understanding you have obligations as a part of a society is not a bad thing. I do not remember his exact words, but Ronald Regan once said that if the US does not stand up and protect democracy, there is no one else to take this role. We are the first and last line of defense against authoritarian and communism seeking to take away freedoms of people.
