Praying doesn't mean you have to be religious, I pray and am atheist. You don't have to pray to a being, or a thing, anything really. You can just pray to yourself. Prayer is just a coping mechanism to me, I use it to help my mind process what is happening. Anyways I really hope your family is safe and can get out safely. Listen to the German Admiral that talked about 'respecting Putin' who had to resign for his comments. There is a part of the story the media is not showing you. Putin is keeping this to Donbass, but if NATO steps in too soon, Europe will be consumed. NATO officials know this.

This is making me feel lightheaded...I have family in Ukraine Update: My family in Ukraine has evacuated to their dacha (summer home). I cannot describe how emotional this has been, and how emotionally traumatic it is to know people are being killed and not only I can't do anything about it but seeing the bombed out apartment blocks and explosions makes me think how it could have been my family, or the family of my peers. The worst thing is that the people who died to this illegal invasion of a sovereign democratic state, is that those people would have continued on and lived, but had their lives stolen away from them because a crazed leader wants to rekindle the past of a soviet or russian base state taking much of Eastern Europe.
