According to multiple media reports, President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles for strikes inside Russia. This major policy shift comes after months of requests by Ukraine - and just two months before President-elect Donald Trump takes office, vowing to limit further support for Ukraine.

The point is that Russia attacked Ukraine, but Ukraine cannot attack Russia with long range missiles alone, its complicated, if to be short you need satellites and right trajectory calculations to hit right spots of an enemy, and Ukraine has no such specialist, only NATO can do it. So when those missiles hit Russia deep inside it will be immediate escalation cause NATO will be fully involved on this, and to keep bad guy reputation Russia will do something bad that none of Europeans citizens want and want to be involved.

This late permission suggests otherwise. Ukraine only adhered to weapon restrictions because of the promise of restock in the future. With Trump taking office, that supply has been called into question and restrictions will become toilet paper once aid is offically cut so give the green light to save face so that the US at least gets to sit in the meetings when Ukraine is picking targets instead of guessing what a desparate Ukraine will do with the weapons if they know they aren't getting more.

Are you insane? This is a war of attrition. Barring a miracle Ukraine cannot win. They've been fighting back fully for years now and they are still slowly but surely losing. Why the beep does the West have to get dragged into this for? We had no defence treaty with Ukraine and they are NOT part of NATO. Is it terrible that Russia invaded Ukraine-yes. Does the whole world need to be kept slowly but surely being edged towards a potential nuclear armageddon because of it - NO.
