The fact we elected that clown highlights our need for a better education system.

Maga needs education! If they have less they won't even be able to find the voting booth. Hey ... wait! ... Damn good idea !!! ---- get rid of the Department of Education!

If the Department of Education is disbanded and the responsibilities of education shift to the individual States, there are certain things that no one so far as bothered to discuss, like which STATE will take responsibility for the education of American children of those that are working overseas such as Federal contract workers, the children of military personnel stationed overseas, or the children of Americans staffing US Embassies? Which STATE is going to have control over the educational requirements of those living on Federal lands such as Native American Reservations or on US Protectorate territories like Guam, American Samoa, and others? Which STATE is going to oversee 'World-Education' participants like those in Exchange Student Programs or for those on extended travel? And if educational responsibilities shift to individual States then will scholarships and student loans be based on the wealth of the State, meaning that the children of extremely poor States like West Virginia and Mississippi are going to simply be out-of-luck when it comes to being award scholarships and grants? These are some of the reasons that it is important that a FEDERAL Office of Education be maintained in order to handle those educational items that are FEDERAL in nature.

Obviously the "Blue" states will get smarter, and the "Red" states will get dumber. Democrats care for their children's education, Republicans think they can just toss kids into Bible school and let god sort them out.

As I understand it, if you take Project 2025's approach for example, it will shift some of the responsibilities to other agencies. The children of military personnel stationed overseas will still be handled by DoDEA, which falls under the DoD. States won't take non-state issues dealing with education, I would imagine. Will some other department? We will see.
