I am a vet . Looking back at vietnam, it all could have ended by bombing the north ?..not hardly..china and russian weapons and etc involved . so we left . the similarities from this war are appearing perfectly similiar to vietnam . cross the boarder into pakistan and root the enemy out, bomb etc ..Saddam Hussein was correct, welcome america to your next vietnam . Blessings on our troops for being there fighting the war . You are doing it correct . Its the political view which must change . Any country that is aiding and abetting criminals murderers like the Taliban are no less guilty. That makes Pakistan a prime target and any other country that aids. So shall we win or shall we stagnate and drag on a war for decades and decades. Big positive choices certainly must come

Any damn fool can lose a war!but the party that lusted after an American defeat in Afghanistan just got its (empty) head handed to them!The people backed the candidate calling for the destruction of the enemy and there is no "Peace Movement" worth a bucket of war spit!i/f we wanted to lose the war we had a hippy-dippy Democrat so eager to do so she dreams of helicopters landing on the roof. In the end, it's not her decision. She just works for CBS. My question wasn't why Lara went - my question was why they sent a woman. It just shows the lack of understanding still of the Afghanistan culture - especially during the longest war the US has ever experienced.
