Biden awards Medal of Honor to retired Col. Paris Davis

President Biden awarded the Medal of Honor on Thursday to Paris Davis, a retired U.S. Army colonel who rescued several injured soldiers amid heavy fighting in Vietnam in 1965. Davis was one of the first Black officers in the Army's Green Berets, and his nomination for the medal mysteriously vanished twice after he returned home from the war. The president called him "an incredible man" before bestowing the honor. Watch the White House ceremony.

I think I've meet maybe 20 MOHR's including John W. Finn. For extraordinary heroism distinguished service, and devotion above and beyond the call of duty. During the first attack by Japanese airplanes on the Naval Air Station, Kaneohe Bay, on 7 December 1941, Lt. (then A.C.O.M.) Finn promptly secured and manned a .50-caliber machine gun mounted on an instruction stand in a completely exposed section of the parking ramp, which was under heavy enemy machine-gun strafing fire.

Col. Paris Davis was my Commander at Fort Devens Mass with the 10th SFG(A), less than a year after I arrived there the Post Commander relieved him of his command because of some drummed up charges that he stoled doughnuts from the PX. Now that I look back on this, I see this was a VERY ridiculous LIE, especially when he could have just ordered someone to bring him "Doughnuts" SF was very prejudice then. I was there from 1980 to 1983.

A quick search reveals that all the below names received the MOH 50 + years after the facts, either lost paperwork or upgraded from lower awards Gee they were all white, must be racism again….. 35 years later W.H. Pitsenbarger. James McCloughan 56 years later On July 5, 2022, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. will award the Medal of Honor to four U.S. Army Soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War: Staff Sergeant Edward N. Kaneshiro (posthumous), Specialist Five Dwight W. Birdwell, Specialist Five Dennis M. Fujii, and retired Major John J. Duffy. 58 years later As a side note, things get lost, blown up, drown in the monsoon, and many other issues. There are also over 20,000 Purple Heart awards that lost the paperwork. Good grief, stop screaming racism every chance you get, best to you Dan USMC 1968-1974

Sick ess around barracks full of mold , high rate of suïcide and domestic violence under troops. 😢 How can an army win a war if they are killing their own troops in their own country? 😢 USS Theodoor Roosevelt 3 suïcides , USS George Washington both during their time in the Docks. The Russians are not the only enemy to your troops Fuel , coolant , and PFAS pollution Red Hill Hawaii , Pearl Harbor and 130 other militairy facilities with Bio Hazard problems caused by the Military.
