This is probably the first election whose results were affected by climate change, heatwaves across plains of India. If a person didn’t vote in this election then that person was most likely a BJP supporter. The 400 cross slogan by BJP made its supporters complacent enough to skip the voting day thinking Modi is going to win anyway. BJP lost most seats where the voter turnout was around 50-55%. My advice don’t downplay NDA alliance partners, u will only be surprised by what BJP can do. This nudge was need so that BJP could win 2029 with a landslide. If BJP had won this election with a landslide u could have been sure that Opposition/Congress was returning to power in 2029, but now that is highly unlikely! BJP unlike congress doesn’t repeat its mistakes. Hopefully its supporters will realise the importance of their vote as well. 5 yrs is a long time. I am just waiting for defection from opposition to BJP in the next 6 months, BJP will cross the majority on its own soon!
