The worst part is you need to purchase tickets off their app or website. But to purchase these tickets you need to make an account. By making an account you immediately accept the exact same issue. So even if you're just a new customer, someone in your family can be used to prevent you from suing because they signed up to purchase the tickets.

From what I read, they reached out to Disney directly about which restaurants would be good for food allergens, and they told her this one and they went there. But when they did go they spoke to the management and servers when they first arrived. They also did it when they were ordering, and when they received the food, and every time they said it was okay, so while the kit would be good, they took a lot of precautions beforehand as well. And she had her Epipen on her, and that didn't work because there was just so much in her system.

Just to clarify this is not a "Disney Resturant" as this report says, this is a private resturant that rents space in Disney Springs, which is a shopping/entertainment/dining district in Florida that is open to the public for free. So, in this scenario, Disney is only the landlord. They have nothing to do with managing the restaurant. To play the devil's advocate, is every landlord who rents to a restaurant supposed to sit in the restaurant and supervise everything that goes on? What if they have no food experience at all? Or have their own full-time job? Or what if the landlord rents space to a store, the store's computers get hacked because of negligence on the store's part, and all the clients' personal info gets stolen. Is the landlord financially responsible for all the stolen identities that would happen? I'm not saying that this family is not due their day in court, especially with the restaurant, but if they are allowed to sue Disney as the landlord, that would essentially open up any landlord anywhere in the US to being financially responsible for anything their renters do and would force anyone who rents a space for their business to be managed by their landlord, regardless of wether or not the landlord has any sort of training/education/background in the business.

For everyone getting all bent out of shape about Disney trying to get out of this lawsuit consider this. Disney has absolutely no ownership or management of the restaurant in Disney Springs where this woman died of her food allergy. None. Don't believe me check out the story on another news outlet. I have seen it on at least two others where they actually shared all the facts and stated that they have nothing to do with the restaurant ownership or operation. Everyone gets all up in arms about a large corporation putting this crap in the fine print to protect them from frivolous lawsuits well this is why they do it. They are being sued for the death of a woman that they had absolutely no part in just because that is where the money is. I feel terrible for this family, but sue the responsible party; not Disney just because that is where the biggest payday is.
