This man is all about love and creating beauty in his art form. I know from my core that this man is an angel in disguise. His personality is full of love and joy that he shares with all of us, while the world around us is falling apart. That's gotta be an angel.

I wholeheartedly agree. I got tuned in to this guy when I started watching The Late Show with Stephen Colbert several years ago. I quickly realized how special he was and still is with the band he created, Stay Human. Stephen Colbert knew it too and then started featuring him solo on the show. That's when I really saw his brilliance as a musician. I realized in those moments that he would at some point be moving on from the show... that his God-given talent would take him to a whole other level. He's one of God's creations who is wonderfully made to not stay in a box but to be shared with the world. It's happening with Jon now and I look forward to many more years of listening to him and watching him soar.

Rough week last week, l: a hard diagnosis for a loved one, an expensive unexpected urgent medical procedure for me, and a surprise resignation from a treasured colleague all in the space of four days. Meanwhile, I happened on " American Symphony", and deepened my knowledge of Jon Batiste.... the music got me through! It did reach me at a much-needed time. So, thank you! One musician/ artist to another. And this borrow from a song title of yours, DON'T STOP.

What a wonderful musician and overall artist that has yet so much of his journey still ahead of him! I am excited to continue following it as it unfolds. Not only are his Album of the Year accolades so highly deserved but it is also so incredibly inspiring to see a musician that is so mature yet doesn't take himself too seriously but only the craft on which he works tirelessly. In a youth obsessed culture that is reflected in popular music it is so refreshing to see someone in the spotlight that so clearly uses it to honour the elders and ancestors, to raise and teach the young and to embrace fellow musicians and artists and make clear that there is enough space for everyone of them. The way he uses his stunning music to unify, to heal and to empower is simply beautiful and it reverberates not only in the US but around the world. I am writing from Germany and sending lots of love. Oh and I hope I will be able to somehow hear Jon's Sinfonie despite being so far from New York, too!

I remember when I first saw JB & Stay Human perform on the Colbert Report, I was crushed that the Report was ending...... Stephen then said that he was taking over Dave's show on CBS and that JB & SH were going to be the band and JB did a New Orleans style second line onto the street in front of Stephen's old location playing the piano/mouth organ thingy, a handheld instrument which I still dislike the sound of 'til this day. I was like, "Oh no, we are losing the Report for another typical late night Talk Show, and his band is probably gonna suck!" Never so happy to be wrong in all my born days. 😍😍😍😍😍👌🏾👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

He's so really real. I *heart* Jon Batiste!! I literally drowned myself in music when I lost my Ridgeback mix last year, and now those same songs make me feel both strong and nostalgic at the same time. And what he said at the end about not having to choose a musical genre--that could have brought artists like Eva Cassidy to the world much sooner. Yes, it's certainly powerful.

Great interview, you got to see his soul and the spirit in him and his spirit, not many interviews can captured it you could see the woman interviewing him being affected by it and it’s so beautiful to see an expression of God in this man. When you’re able to see God in someone and experience God through someone it makes you want to bring Papa Father(God) in and out of yourself and there’s nothing more beautiful a human soul can do…. (FREEDOM!) We were created andmade to do it! John knows this and in his unique beautiful soul does it in his unique beautiful way. We can all do this through love through following love Through following God. Jon is trying to teach us how to do it, how to love through the endless resources of Heaven in us! Keep your eyes to the heaven that’s where your help comes from …faith hope and love , keep going!!!!!

IDK. Probably too much Botox? Or she feels that because she is a pretty blonde woman who used to be a dancer, she needs to project a certain "gravitas"?
