Furries raise $100,000 for Pittsburgh rescue dedicated to senior dogs

The furries helped out their furry four-legged friends as Anthrocon broke a fundraising record over the weekend. The nonprofit organization chooses a charity every year in the Pittsburgh area with the aim to give back through the convention. KDKA-TV's Alexandra Todd has more.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience at closing ceremonies when the final push to go over 100k happened. The amount of people running like a madman to donate was insane! When we hit it it was truly an incredible moment to behold! It was one of the most heartwarming things ive experienced!

So I am personally not a furry though I have been told I "give furry energy" and honestly, love these guys. The furries I have met have been the sweetest most amazing people I have met. I've noticed a lot of the time they just are maybe a little socially awkward (myself as well don't worry) and like to have a way to almost hide themselves in social settings.
