There are A LOT of people out there with stunted emotional intelligence, many of whom grew up on social media where they didn't develop important social skills like empathy, so killing someone over disrespect is an uncontrollable and remorseless impulse. Culture plays a big role as well. Kids that grow up in a violent, morally corrupt household will inevitably adopt the same worldview.
