A's are gone....We are talking about 4 days games in Sacramento. The rest of the home games will be played at 7:00 in Sacramento and the temperatures at that time are usually trending in the 80's to 70's. Didn't the Dodgers just play a day game in Dodger stadium at 103 degrees last Sunday?

Last week I was driving up to Sac, on Thursday at 7:38 pm just outside of Davis it was 94 degrees…we’re not talking 4 days, plus, they’ll be playing on artificial turf

the AAA team of the Padres play in El Paso Texas in the dead of summer at 90 plus, the former AAA team Diablos played for a long time at the same temperatures. so yeah a team can play in that weather

Hey Bozo brains, not so fast there. Until it’s 100% a done deal then you can yip yap about how you believe it will work. Well it won’t work. Lmao there will not only be 4 day games. Baseball is meant to be played day and night all summer long. Sacramento is a miserable heat pit. Plus the artificial turf will only conduct more heat to the players and Also more injury prone compared to playing on a REAL field. It’s a horrible move to have MLB players share a minor league park. Nobody is going to want to play there. It’s only a recipe for disaster. Oakland has the best weather and the best fans and great location for public transportation and parking. SELL THE TEAM !!!!

Just stay in Oakland, FFS. Someone should just buy the A's and keep them there. If Sacramento and Las Vegas want a team, MLB should just expand. I could see them going to 36 teams in the future. My other choices for MLB teams would be Montreal, Charlotte, Nashville, and either Oklahoma City or Birmingham.

I swear, it seems like the Oakland Coliseum must've been built on both an ancient burial ground *and* a church or something; that's the only way you can describe the inexplicable good *and* bad luck of a stadium that was *already* outdated when the Raiders moved back in and built Mount Davis in '95. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a stadium like this- one that clearly wants to just *die* already, and is showing everyone possible that it wants to, but is somehow kept alive in an obvious brain dead state to the horror of damn near everyone involved. It's the stadium equivalent of Terri Schaivo.

If the city and business community believe the area around the Coliseum had any hope they never would've sold the Coliseum to the Black investment group. They can build all the condos and retail space they want, but nothing successful will come out of it until the crime and the blight is cleaned up. You know things are bad when the Hilton can no longer run a profitable hotel near a major airport...and said airport tries to ditch the name "Oakland" from it because of the bad reputation.
