Jeremiah Smith was still a valuable player, because he kept 3 Texas defenders busy.
@sohamjain780316 күн бұрын
Maybe, but the only Ohio state turnover of the game was also because of him. Felt like Howard was looking for him too much when Tate was the one dominating today

5:48 9.5 point spread isn't disrespectful when ND didn't beat a top 5 opponent until the playoffs. OSU has 2-1 in the regular season (W: PSU, INDY L: Oregon) and 2-0 in the playoffs (W: Oregon, Texas). The Buckeyes are way more consistent.

Yes Jack Sawyer made a legendary play. And 33# will go down in BUCKEYE history. But Maurice Clarett play when he took the ball back from the Miami player in the National Championship is probably the greatest BUCKEYE play. Both were great plays buy great BUCKEYE players.
@moesymoe440716 күн бұрын
That definitely was an awesome play Clarett made too. Personally I favor Captain Jack’s play because Texas was about to tie the game late in the 4th. The particular moment for this game, for Sawyer and the team was huge! Plus, Clarett was a freshman. He was awesome but the history Sawyer has as a Buckeye, his decision to not to declare after last season but instead rally his teammates to also stay and chase the Natty one last time, that makes his moment shine brighter in my eyes. The dude is a leader and what sounds like an all around great person. True Buckeye. Born here, played here, stayed here and has delivered a heartfelt, driven, lay it all on the field game every single time. What a special moment for all of us to watch live last night! Go Bucks! O-H!

Clarett stripping the ball back against Sean Taylor in the national championship game was the best. You haven't seen a play like that since 2002 and we're in 2025.

For the past Ohio State missed the playoffs some season for 10th or 11th wins record and still not in the playoffs was only Four teams, but now on to the future the Buckeyes will never miss a playoff game with 12 teams

chip was crapping on the expanded playoff recently. If people like chip had their way, the 4 team playoff would have been the P4 conference champs. Maybe the committe would have removed the B12 or ACC.champ in favor of ND, but would the committe had removed a conference champ in favor of a team that lost to NorthernIllinois? Ohio St would.have been left out as well in a 4 team playoff.

these guys are exactly why 99.999% sports journalists suck...lazy and uninformed greatest defensive play in a playoff game/national championship game ... Maurice CLARETT becoming a defender and stealing the ball from Miami's Sean Taylor after an interception...saved a NC, freshman, never quit, and tOSU threw that kid under the bus
