Tennessee didn't "dominate" anything. This game was gifted to them through horrific playcalling and three devastating turnovers including one at the Tennessee 5 yard line by Arnold when the game was 10-3 and about to go to 10-10. That turnover completely destroyed OU's chances. Tennessee's offense basically scored 17 points and part of that was from turnovers. It's not like OU needed to do much offensively to beat them and they didn't impress me at all. Hawkinis gives us hope going forward.

Anybody paying attention and knows Tennessee ball knows that Heupel took the gas off early in the third and played VERY conservative because defense was so dominant. Also Jackson Arnold will probably get the nod in the near future if I had to guess. Jackson went against Tennessee when it was trying to kill the quarterback early in the game. Hawkins got to go against a conservative play calling defense. Tennessee was running prevent early 2nd half just to slow drive the game out. Hawkins benefited from that and made him look better than he actually is.

OU offense has been horrible all season. OU scored 16 on Houston and struggled the same vs Tennessee that they did with Temple, Houston, and Tulane. Not saying the Vols are not a salty defense. Tenn offense didn't rack up the pts is because of the OU Defense

It wasn't their QB, Oklahoma couldn't run the ball at all, any QB would struggle with pressure like that and no run game. By the time Dawkins came in, Tennessee was rushing 3, prevent coverage, he had all day to throw/run, hard to compare, except maybe the redzone attempts. I really feel like Heupel could've ended this game sooner, and he admitted to playing different, but likely more to do with having a 3rd string LT protecting Iamaleava's blindside, which resulted in 2 turnovers. Curious to see how they play it in future games if they get that OL back to full strength.

OU outscored Tennessee 12 to 3 in the second half. Some morons are saying heuple took his foot off the gas. That’s the dumber than saying they dominated OU. Try looking at the stats. Yes 10 points is a close game. Especially when one team has no offense.

@Soondite71 please....We were up 22-3 with 8 mins left. This was without a starting left or right tackle to protect our QB. Even with that handicap, we still handled you easily. Heupel knew all he had to do at that point was milk the clock out for a win, and that's what he did.

tennesee did nothing special. houston held us to less passing yards then tennesee, and the rushing yards werent far off either. we havent reached 400 yards of offense against any 1 team yet, thats including tulane, TEMPLE! and houston. if i was a tennesee fan i would say id be concerned about dylan sampson being a fruad. anyone can rush for a billion yards vs kent state, but whenever you go aginst real competeition he doesnt do great. if hawkins was in the whole game it would have been way different. we probably would have been near 30 points if not slightly above that.

This is Oklahomas 12th loss since 2000 - y’all touted your home record like a badge of honor right? Tennessee owned Oklahoma from the 2nd half of the 1st quarter to about 5 mins left in the 4th quarter. The entire second half Coach Heupel ran the ball to drain the clock instead of passing Oklahoma got beat soundly by Tennessee today. You have a lot to look forward to this season - your new QB looks great - but don’t downplay your opponents win because you’re mad you lost.

Mochael Hawkins replaced Arnold and moved the ball. OU would have had a hance to win if Hawkins starts. This dude is wring about Tennessee " causing" the turnovers. OUs defense also had a lot to do with Tennessee's offense not doing so well. Is this crap scripted for Tennessee? The hyoe has been all over them for weeks now, and they squeeked out a win against a team that needed to bench it's QB 2 weeks ago. SMH.
