"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Paul. This was WONDERFUL ! I was 19 in 1964 when I moved to L.A. to break into showbusiness. I can tell you that what Paul describes what he went through is truth. I never attained the success that he or The Beatles achieved, but THIS is how it was when you first started out and were successful. You experience things you never thought possible. You're living a life so foreign to you that you're beyond happy, but still in shock. I am so happy and proud of what Paul has achieved in his life and am thrilled that he decided to share it with us. It was so long ago and some many roads have been taken. I'm just proud that I even experienced just a small part of that life and success. Thank you Paul. 💙

@@harleydurianriders4477 LZ was great, but they were not The Beatles. The Beatles had 3 singers, 4 if you count Ringo. Led Zep has one singer. The Beatles had a much wider range than LZ. Sure, LZ had some ballads, but not the quality or quantity of The Beatles. Cream, they are almost forgotten now, Clapton has been playing the same thing for the last 30 years. Hendrix was a great guitarist with a mediocre voice. The Beatles changed everything. If it wasn't for the Beatles there would not have been a Hendrix or a Cream. You have described it so perfectly. I can still remember the first time I heard " Love, love me do " Beatlemania is the right description .It totally consumed us.I bet like me you can be back in those moments instantly. The excitement and the all powerful love we felt for them is still so clear .It was all so different to anything that had gone before. The excitement of queuing down the street from the record shop on the day a new album was released. Then carrying it home like a treasure and pouring over every every word and picture on the cover whilst listening to new songs Nearly wearing the needle out on the record player playing it over and over again..Carving their names in our leather school satchels, sticking every photo we could find on our walls...and getting a telling off from mum. Dreaming about meeting them. What a time it was.😢😢❤❤

I was 7 years old when the Beatles appeared on Ed Sullivan and I remember it in every cell of my memory, then saw the Beatles in person at age 10 in 1966 at Olympia Stadium in Detroit, Michigan (I won two tickets in a contest sponsored by Cunningham's Drugstore and took my 11-year old neighbor). We did it! Success from start to finish! The Beatles were wearing light-colored suits, they were fronted by Cyrkle ("Red Rubber Ball"). I can still hear the wall of screaming that made up most of the sound. Heaven only knows what I did with the ticket stubs.

What a fabulous archive of the Fab Four! So happy it was rediscovered for all to see. Happy birthday, Sir Paul! The footage at 1:00 shows a transformative moment, not only for The Beatles, but for us as well. Things were never the same after their arrival at Kennedy Airport. And seeing John come off the plane in NY, wind blowing his hat off, setting him on his ultimate destiny....just chills when I think of the import of that moment. I remember very well their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show --- it was very near my 5th birthday, I was all set to watch The Wonderful World of Disney (a cartoon presentation I'd been looking forward to all week, a birthday present just for me), when my babysitter comes over in a bit of a panic, Ed Sullivan is about to come on and their TV is broken, can she please please watch The Beatles on our TV?? Mom of course said yes, and I sulked miserably behind a chair the whole time. But I was there, sort of, at this breakthrough moment that changed history. So Linda, wherever you are, sorry I was mad at you, and thank you for coming over that day.

Sir Paul has a great eye. I’m a professional photographer, photojournalist, and 66 years old, and I’m quite thrilled by these images. Such a fun interview. We knew that Paul’s longtime wife Linda Eastman was an accomplished photographer…who knew that Paul was too.

What honor ro be there. The waiting must have been so tough. But it went so fast didn't it? You were so lucky but could you hear them.? How did you get tickets? I know they went to Central park and fans must have surrounded them

@@sallykohorst8803 my mom got tickets through a friend whose husband had an ad agency in NYC. We waited for them to arrive at the Ed Sullivan Theater, and when they pulled up the few of us all went running to be close to them. They were great, and friendly. After the show we headed to the Plaza Hotel where they were staying, and saw them stick their heads out their room window and wave. A huge crowd was outside their hotel. Magical days!

The greatest band of all time. Not the greatest musicians, but they had three of the greatest songwriters of all time. According to the website Beatles FAQ, The Beatles have sold 2.7 BILLION records worldwide since 1963. I believe that says it all.

Like millions of others, my 'real' life began when I had just turned 9 and the Beatles came to the USA. That Paul has a natural, unerring eye for visual composition along with his genius for music, is yet another gift to the world from this cherished man. For a 21 year-old learning to use his first camera, these works are extraordinary.
