Jodie Foster holds the distinction of being the youngest two-time Oscar winner and one of only two people to win multiple Oscars before the age of 30. Foster is also the only openly LGBTQ woman to win two Academy Awards for acting, although she was not publicly out until after both wins.

Next to M. Streep, she is the most complete actress of the last 40 years. She needs the Kennedy Center Honors, yesterday...... I'm from Germany and I'm a fan since I starting thinking. Every role she played, she made it outstanding plus her role as producer or director. No film with her get negativ critics or anything like this. And to reminde, 40 years ago the world wasn't so open as today in case of loving same sex. As an actress she would be on a black list regarding intresting projects and companies are afraid of losing potential cinema audiences and turnover.

I've always loved Jodie Foster, in her young roles, before achieving stardom, later on, in her life. She did manage to make a lot of big plays, with her roles, in The Courtship of Eddie's Father, Taxi Driver, Freaky Friday '76, Foxes, The Silence of the Lambs, Nell, Nim's Island, and a few other movies, later. I even loved how she was the first ever youngest person, to host Saturday Night Live, and hold that position, for 6 1/2 years, before Drew Barrymore at age 7, did so, too (and at that young, my goodness!). Jodie Foster, definetly makes history, by how she's living, and how she's still managing to find work, in starring in this new series, as a detective, like TSOTL. Good on ya, Jodie!

I saw Accused and then saw her win the Oscar for it. Whether it was then or for her first one she said that kindness is so important in her speech. Now think of how many Hollywood actresses or actors say that for their acceptance speech. I'd never heard anyone say thst in their speech winning a Oscar.. respect her because when i saw her performance in Silence of the Lambs I knew it was in the top echlon of acting. I believed who she was on screen, and her character was like Ripley in Aliens, one of the few women heros in movies. I think most like and respect her cause she is not willing to let the public in her private life. It must be a little like Hannibal said in Silence about her...the world needs you( Clarice).
