@@jwwj30 I'm a 41 year old nurse, who is also a fan of BTS. I lived through my teenage years in full capacity through the 90's.., growing up in NYC, going to many concerts (nirvana, nofx, bad religion, offspring, weezer, etc), hitchhiking across the country to attend rainbow gatherings and also attended Woodstock 94' and warped tour 95', 96' & 97'. I've never been into boybands nor kpop (I'm still not), and I have to admit, when I first heard of BTS I assumed they were typical boyband with fanatic teenage fans...but I soon discovered they are very different than any other musical artists out there; and their fanbase is very diverse in age, culture, religion, language, occupation, etc.

@@jwwj30 I'm 36, also a mom, and a spouse, and a programmer and I have been BTS ARMY for years. Their message and purpose transcends anything as shallow as stereotypes or expected demographics. They are amazing artists who write and produce their own music, experiment with their sound, and speak from their hearts to all of us. I'm sorry you're so full of salt that you can't try to understand the appeal or even just let other people enjoy things without throwing your unwanted condescension around, but I'm pretty sure the only person still stuck in the pettiness of the teenage years is you, my dude. You don't have to like them, but you should know that ARMYs are veterans when it comes to weathering criticism so you're going to have to step up your game if you want to appear to be anything other than someone seeking attention. @@wedotalkaboutwhatarmystand4796 1. They said BTS going to the Grammys was a social media campaign by fans when it was a last minute decision by the academy to invite them and due to their album being nominated for an award. 2. They had a map that labelled the body of water between Japan and Korea as the 'Sea of Japan.' This is a very sensitive topic and a dispute between Japan/Korea that is the result of Japanese imperialism. Koreans call that body of water the 'East Sea' and it's good that they removed the 'Sea of Japan' label as it is insensitive for Koreans (and many others). 3. Video footage of a certain item that caused major problems were removed/censored. A good move as the item is also a point of contention between Japan/Korea with the west not having covered the story correctly in the past.

They kinda preach through their music about hard work, friendship, pain in love, passion, loving yourself, not giving up. They dive into so many genres of music, are super talented together and individually and are never boring. I work out every day to their music because it's so energetic and love watching their show Run BTS. They are very kind and loving people and such dorks with each different charm. Can't even say which one is my favourite member, because each one of them is super cool and precious to me.. not as some kind of crush or idol but more as a friend. Thank you CBS for having them. Am 33 and a proud ARMY, these boys put so much work, devotion and commitment to their work, and I respect that a lot, they all came from nothing, literally and built themselves up through much obstacles, rejection, segregation etc, with more people telling them they should give up coz they didn't have what it takes to make it in the industry, instead of giving up, they fought, worked, trained and practiced even harder. Their music sounds really great some of the best sounds I have ever heard, but beyond that, it's educational, therapeutic, inspirational, and very artistic too. They still remain humble even with all they success they have. If you listen to their music and stories without prejudice, you will love them. They are truly inspirational. I have mad love and respect for them 💜
