I truly believe that Chris was also emotional when he retired because he knew that he could pursue another dream of his within bodybuilding, which is open. I’ve been following this guy along time and the last few Olympians he has seemed to be missing something and I think this is definitely what it is . That would definitely be no knock on him changing division because it’s just like any other Olympian that change division even that he’s successful he doesn’t make him different from anyone else. He’s just a nice guy like everyone that competes in bodybuilding. It’s great that he still has to drive, because when I started to watch him come up in class and when he first PR I always thought to myself why isn’t this guy doing bodybuilding but for someone who has had health problems as well through their life I get what his mindset would be not been able to pursue his real dream that he started with. It would be very frustrating but Alicia has dealt with the situation and became a champion and a legend not only that he’s going to be challenging himself again. Martin should’ve beat Derek and been third😂 by far in my opinion

People keep comparing Chris to everyone by how he looks like on stage on the Olympia. Chris is not gonna be depleted like he has to do for classic. He is gonna look a lot bigger. And fuller yet still defined cause he really always is ripped. His arms have seemed to make a lot of gains as well. I have no idea what’s gonna happen in the competition. But he definitely is gonna do well. That’s one thing foresure.

My dream would be to see cbutt take two or three years off, and then do one final push to bring his most impressive physique possible to the open. Just build and retain as much as he wants to look as good as he can. Because I honestly always feel like his stage look is way flatter and less impressive than his off-season look.

To be fair to Andrew, you can’t really compare him at 39 to the average 39 year old pro BB simply because he just doesn’t have the mileage and wear and tear on his body like the average 39 yr old pro that has been blasting heavily and competing and depleting there body for 15-20 years. I think it’s fair to say that Andrew at 39 is more equivalent to a top pro in the 33-35 year range. Andrew can easily be a top 3 BB well into his 40’s if he can bring the conditioning. We shall see.

@@Bjorn_R I'd say that is a pretty bad example for a few reasons. 1) Ronnie is on record saying he didn't take steroids till 30 (1994). So it took him 4 years on gear. 2) Ronnie was 5 years younger when he won his 1st Olympia, and he was a "late bloomer" see above. 3) arguably the lineup was much deeper in the 90s. Dorian, Flex, Shawn, Kevin, etc were crazy.

It's a bit of both Andrew and the coaching. It's like he wants to go at his own pace and the trainer wasn't pushing him hard enough especially in areas where Andrew needed to focus more on which is his posing, forearms, back,calves,thigh width and most importantly conditioning.

Andrew jacked started competing just a couple years ago. His rankings aren’t “tanked”. It’s pretty good. Ronnie didn’t win his Os until after like 6 years of not getting top 5. The comparison of Derek and Cbum isn't a fair one. Derek had a full year off and got a special invite when he wasn't going to make weight. That isn't the case for Chris. Man if Akim had a back similar to Samson’s he would be Mr. Olympia. Akim is the most underrated pro today.

Andrew Jacked had some kind of abdominal sprang or tear, which we explains why his posing was so off on the Olympia. Jacked has a a lot to work on this year, especially down stairs from all angles.
