sir ,as uh have said we can write namespace in header file or any file and just save it with .h ext so why we don't use .h extension with iostream when we write namespace in it

IT WAS VERY HELPFUL INDEED..BUT I STILL HAVE A DOUBT..I HAVE MOSTLY WORKED IN TURBO C++.. AND IF WHAT U SAID WERE TO BE TRUE.. WHY DIDNT WE USED USING NAMESPACE OVERTHERE.

Roshni Shah its not that we didn't use namespace in turbo c++. Its that we cannot use namespace in turbo c++. Turbo C++ was last updated in 1990s and it was made according to C++ at that time. At that time C++ didn't have namespaces so we cannot use namespaces in turbo c++. As time passed C++ evolved and namespaces was added to C++ but turbo c++ wasn't updated. So turbo c++ isn't made for c++ in today's time. It was made for C++ in around 1990s

Namespace Only used in 32 or 64 bit compilers . And turbo c++ is a 16 bit compiler

suppose we have two namespaces with the same names but in different header files. if x identifier of integer type in available in both the namespaces, will this not lead to any conflict? Or alternatively, if f1() function is available with different definition in both the namespaces bearing the same names, will it not lead to any conflict?
