You’re a true hero for covering all these effects Jake

Awesome, this one is really important. Watching several of the awesome videos you have put out, I figured out the importance of knowing how each effect works, because that will help us to understand how to solve a scene in a technical way and knowing the capabilities inside After Effects, due to sometimes is not enough to know how to animate or how to use cameras in order to achieve the wished effect. Thanks for paving the way, Jake! 😃

Hi Jake, super appreciate your channel. I know it takes so much work and I hate seeing creators not get enough love or views. With that being said. Have u thought about changing up your thumbnails with a screen shot of whatever ur doing? I honestly think that may get you some more traffic cause people click on cool pictures lol. But keep on the great work and thank u!

Thank you so much for sharing value content. Can you please make a tutorial on time displacement and how it can be used to bend shape layers or comps.
@JakeInMotion3 жыл бұрын
Sure thing, though it's not the best option for that type of thing. Time displacement is render intensive and very limited in terms of the resolution of the distortion.

@@JakeInMotion I was trying to twist a cube(made of 2D layers) in 3D space, horizontally. The closest effect I found to get the work done was Time displacement with gradient layer, but couldn't get desired results. You're so humble and polite, thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

I'll do some tests and see if I can come up with a decent result. Thanks for the video idea!

Is it possible to soften or "feather" the edges of the transition shape?
