CC MESH TUTORIAL: SPLITTING FULL BODY OUTFIT INTO A TOP | THE SIMS 4

Today's CC Tutorial for The Sims 4 was decided by you guys. I asked which tutorial you'd like to see next and most votes went to splitting a full body outfit into either a top or pants. For tutorial purposes, I'll do just the top.
In short, I'll take full body outfit first and then just the random bra or well a top outfit. I'll paste the full body outfit on the bra and remove everything that's not the top to have the top only. This is just kind of the logic behind what's happening in this video.

One thing I can't find anywhere, and I'm sure it's a short answer, is how do you change the properties of a CC, so like the tag or whatever, that tells the game it's a top, or a bottom, or an accessory, etc.? So for example, I've seen people who have tops or bottoms that "act" as though they're an accessory, and you can equip as many of them as you want. So like, I want to make a jacket only count as an accessory, so that I can have WHATEVER shirt I want underneath. I've gone through all the pages in the Studio for items, and I just don't see anywhere you can do that, but like, it HAS to be possible, how else could you make an item from scratch, if not by giving it properties like that?

Thank you soooo much for this tutorial! I was able to do almost all of it up until the end. For some reason the texture of the front of the top is repeating on the butt of my sim in S4S, and I feel like giving up lol.

Hey if you could please make a tutorial combining a shirt to a dress, I keep trying to make thouse though the bottom of the dress is blank.

hey, very helpful video. I'm just getting started with modding and I still have a few issues. Could you make a video of editing this fur from High School Expansion? Can you show me how to remove the shirt underneath? So that only fur remained. I would be very grateful as I don't know who to turn to for help

Does anyone have the problem where when you click to open the blender file, blender opens but clothing doesn't show up?

What fixed that for me was downloading an older version of blender (2.76 or such), installing that version in a different location on my computer, and adjusting the settings in Sims 4 Studio so it uses the different locations installation path/the older version .exe file of Blender. Then export the mesh again. Now I can open it in the newer blender version that I actually want to work in (since the old one seems to have some issues with windows 10).

I’m trying to delete a part from an accessory but the problem is when I have deleted the things I don’t want in blender and download the file, when I import it into ts4 studio it’s the same as the original mesh

How about adding shine to clothes using GIMP, and if possible, without the use of the pay-to-use Photoshop?

Do you know how to flip how a build/ buy item horizontally? For example, I really like a shelf item in Dream Home Decorator but the door is on the left side. I’d like to find out to make it with the door on the right side so make a fully symmetric TV console haha.

How do you get rid of the safety bra? I want to crop a backless shirt but the bra from Sims 4 studio wont go away. Can you do a video how to do something like this? I tried using the nude mesh but it still shows the bra in blender. Thank you!

Can you do a tutorial on UV unwrapping? I made a really well maxis match low poly simple table and it's been 2 weeks since I made it because I am nervous about UV unwrapping.

I made one or tried to make a really simple one for the table. You can check it out. But, honestly, that video was just the basics so I'm not really sure if it'll work for your object because unwrapping can be annoying. So I'm thinking about doing one for a painting or sth like that. I'll keep it in mind!

Blender really is overwhelming. I wish it was less complicated, but, still I'm happy and grateful we can get it for free. It's a double edged sword haha Maybe try something simpler! Like, removing books from a bookcase and leaving it a shelf.
