Always read about the learning curve with this, but your videos have convinced me to get this. Quick question (I am watching vids in order so may be answered later), can you adjust the size of the hexes you overlaid?
@JoshPlunkett Жыл бұрын
Yes hexes size can be adjusted. This is very flexible software. Thus the learning curve. I'm hearing cc4 is somewhere around the corner. Looking forward to that.

when choosing an overland map rexture, you seem to have quite a lot, is there a template library or something similar?

I have every annual available so that's where most of them come from.

I somehow removed the coastline from some of my landmasses, and i cant find out how to add one back, no matter how hard i search online. Can you possibly help me?

I'm back at work and free time is minimal. I recommend asking in the Facebook group or on the forums. Sharing you file will likely help.

In the beginning, when he picks the size (200 x 200), what does those numbers represent? Miles or KM????
@JoshPlunkett5 жыл бұрын
The style and type of map usually determines this. It's different depending on what you picked at the start.

@@JoshPlunkett Well... what did those numbers represent _in this case?_
@JoshPlunkett4 жыл бұрын
@@skwest no idea mate. I'm in Australia so chances are I picked KMs. This video is a few years old though and i don't recall the details.

@@JoshPlunkett Greetings again. Thanks for taking a moment to respond. I really appreciated having this tutorial available, it gave me enough confidence to go ahead and order software. Back to the subject of "200 x 200", just knowing that it must be kilometers versus miles was a good start. For all I knew, it was something like grid squares, or such. For a lot of these mapping programs, that's how they measure the map, particularly if it is a map for a combat encounter. Anyway, that was the source of my own confusion. I assume that once I start using the software then that question will be answered for me. Cheers!

Oh, and one other thing. I inferred from your accent that you were Australian, but, since your mapping output was right-side up, I assumed you must be somewhere in the northern hemisphere.

Hi Mr. I have got a problem: When I make my rivers and my seas they disappear when I zoom out. What is this for a devilish magic ?
@JoshPlunkett6 жыл бұрын
If you zoom back in are they still gone? I'd wager a guess that you have them on sheets that are below the land. When you zoom in you also trigger a refresh of the program. Thus therefore puts the sheets where they are according to your setup.
