Since Baptism cannot be repeated, protestants entering the Catholic Church cannot be re-baptized. My questions are: Is Baptism in a protestant church as effective as it is in the Catholic Church? Does protestant baptism leave the same mark as Catholic Baptism on the person who is being baptized? Thank you for this excellent program.

+Heidi Scheer thanks for the comment Heidi. Yes baptism in the Protestant church is just as effective as in the Catholic Church. So long as the person has a right intention it is perfectly valid and effective. Assuming of course that the person being baptized is properly disposed. The only person who cannot baptize person is the person himself. That is you cannot baptize yourself. Someone else must baptize you. It also must be the right formula in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and using liquid flowing water. Friar Roderic
