Awesome video and an inspirational finish. Amazing how you pulled it back to complete in a great time

I’m ploughing through your content. Damn. That was a captivating watch. The way you bounced back and completed it was nuts. It also makes me realise how crazy the guys and girls who podium the race are and what speed they must fly through the course at.

Their pace is insane. Check out Pau capell footage of utmb 2019 - the guy is charging all the way to the end. So so fit 🤩🤩

@@ultrarunneradam I saw that footage the other day. Wild speed!

Fantastic achievement! I followed your progress through LiveInfo so I knew you finished, but watching that I'm amazed you made it past 27k, you looked and sounded totally done in. Massive respect to you to keep going after that, great mental strength. It looked brutal and I guess the altitude adds another dimension to it too. I would love to have a go at this one day, it's inspired me, the scenery looks unbelievable. I just need to get the MdS 2020 out of the way first...then by the looks of it start serious training if I want to tackle the CCC! Thanks for the VLOG

Thanks Simon. I was speaking to my coach last night and he reckons I recovered physically from MDS but not mentally - I feel he was spot on with that insight. Making these races harder and less focussed. Ive done 3 big races this year - too much. 2020 is Arc of Attrition and try to get into UTMB D'Aran or Lavaredo. Your gonna love MDS !!

Really great inspiration to watch you getting it done! 👏🏼 helps me to focus as I’m struggling on all my early morning training runs and reminds me that my goal is achievable! What an amazing place to run, great video!👍🏻

Alps trails are just incredible - so technical and demanding yet beautiful at the same time 👍 I will be going back for the full 160k UTMB

Did you see the results of UTMB 22 (160k) - Kilian Jornet won it in a rather leisurely 19:49:30.... first one under 20 hours!

Quite a while back but yes watched the whole thing on KZbin - awesome. Everyone went quick this year. I hope to do it some day 💪

Would you say this was your most beautiful event , in regard to scenery? It looked fantastic . You have seemingly run almost every major event out there , what’s left on your list ?
@ultrarunneradam2 жыл бұрын
😂 I’ve done a few but not the major ones. Lakeland 50 is next in 3 weeks time. Yes the alps is stunning as with all mountains as long as the weather holds.

great video man. I hope to be finally doing this race, this year. funny to hear you say that you had a problem on NDW100. I paced that race for a mate in 2019. had another friend do it and have a torrid time then actually have a good CCC. its a funny old game right.

Yeah I went into ndw with a nasty cold and never shook it. I was gutted. After ccc I was in bed for a few days. I’m going back to take on utmb in a few years i hope. I wish I’d pulled out of ndw and focussed on ccc. Hindsight eh! Glad your friend did well! Good luck with the ccc

Is it the SUUNTO 9 that you use ? How would you rate it for following a GPX file ?
@ultrarunneradam2 жыл бұрын
Yup suunto 9 - very good - I had it on performance through the arc - so 23 hrs no charge needed - it did get down to about 15% of battery left - you follow the blue line 😃😃

A go pro 7 - battery life is the issue - you have to shoot 1080 and take 3-4 batteries - if you go hi res it drains
