any tape we can purchase that is similar to hapla? Cant find it here in the states
@carmattvidz442613 күн бұрын
Do not run in a sandstorm for hours. I found out in a podcast why that a VERY bad idea.
@xueueuxАй бұрын
i always had blisters on my feet from long walk, from high-heels, and now I just got blisters from wearing sandals yesterday. I had given up to take care of my feet for long time, but oh boy the blisters reminds me of an old-old blisters when I went for a hike in the past. I will go for a hike next march for first time post covid. I will try all those tape, the moisturisers, the socks, I hope I will survive.

I go for a 6 mile (9.66km) walk 6 days per week 1st thing in the morning right after I hydrate and evacuate. When I 1st started, I used to get blisters on the balls of my feet. Not so much these days however the outsides of the big toes have calluses and become uncomfortable hotspots by mile 5 and of course the rest of my day. Going to try these tips and hopefully they help. Thanks.

For long ultra where terrain is wet / boggy what approach would you recommend to prevent trench foot??
@ultrarunneradam5 ай бұрын
I would use a heavy foot balm like TRENCH. Works well and repells water. Also dry and reapply mid race or as many times as needed depending on length. No taping of feet as tape just comes off.

Helpful advice, thank you! Do you have a hapla band alternative for those in the US?
@ultrarunneradam5 ай бұрын
Sorry I don’t. Can’t see why not global product. Maybe ask your pharmacist?
@Alan-Smith7 ай бұрын
After watching this video, I bought some Hapla band and started taping my toes the same way. No issues until I did a 70 mile ultra recently, and trashed both big toe nails. It appears that the sticky hapla band was pulling on my big toe nails even though I was also wearing Injinji socks. Toe nails have now been partially pulled away from my toes, and I expect them both to fall off soon. Very painful. Not sure what went wrong.
@ultrarunneradam6 ай бұрын
I think want went wrong is you ran 70miles. Mate taping your feet may help but prob not going to fix that. I lose my toes nails almost the time. Just the way my nail bed and nail angle is.
