Sims 3 Animations in Star Stable Online - An Experiment

Hey guys. I love reading all your nice comments, thank you for that. :D But I feel like I need to say that the main credit should go to the animators for the sims 3. They did these animations by hand, and that's pretty impressive. But we should also give Star Stable Online some credit. Animating is a lot of hard work and they are improving. And as some of you have already stated, the sims 3 did had a bigger studio behind them and had way more budget than SSO has. (I mean EA is way more money hungry than SSO) And they have been a lot longer in the business. That's all

Yeah I always loved how the Sims & horses interacted, but you're right the Star Stable Team is not Maxis or EA with a much bigger team to handle all that and those horses, all their animations and how Sims and other animals interact with them came in an expansion pack...which took many months to complete. The Sims does not release new content every week...however SSO does. So while some people tend to complain SSO isn't this or that yet, just imagine waiting months for new content instead of every week.

They also need to add more animations in SSO tbh Atleast for horses and they should have a mind of their own like running away, Walking away and I think you should be able to see the pasture you put your horses in, And maybe paying SC to breed horses just some feed back :v

In fact the horses in Sims 3 will act different by the traits they have. If they have a trait where they don’t understand much, the they’ll play in water. If they got a mean trait, then they’ll bit other horses, sims and throw their sim off. If they have a nice trait they’ll listen more to their rider.

That cracked me up, but so truee. Also you don't have to dig into a horse with petting or brushing a horse, hopefully SSO realizes that someday, also pets don't need to be in a saddle bag for them to be able to interact with you and run/fly next to you 😃

@@SleepyLibby not all hackers are bad like the ones you see online hacking and stealing people's accounts. CC creations is much more than a hacker, she's a creator. She's done more singlehandedly than sso ever will

@@SleepyLibby I don't think you can really call it hacking. We all have those files on our computers, she just knows how to open them and has the right programs for that. Also has enough knowledge to port the 3D models and merge them with animations from another game. She isn't altering anything in SSO's own database or on their servers, she's just messing with her own update data.

She created those videos in a 3D modeling program called Blender and to make it look nice, she put a nice Star Stable background on those recordings. None of what happened in this video was actually happening on a server.

It depends on if the data is actually encrypted and secured or if it's just floating around in a folder, waiting to be opened with the right program. And I'm pretty sure she is aware of what she is doing, but what she is doing right now, doesn't do harm to anyone. I'm totally against hackers as well, but she ain't hurting a soul and she doesn't intend to steal the content to make it her own. She still acknowlegdes all rights go to SSO/ Sims 3. Ever heard of Anonymous? Group of hackers. Mostly doing good stuff though.

Filippa Exactly. That’s why I started doing rrp in The Sims 3 instead of Star Stable. Because like, you have to gain the horses trust before riding it without risking being thrown off or bitten. And you actually have a relationship with the horse instead of just riding it without being friends with it. Plus the horses act differently based on their traits which just makes them so much more fun!

Oh wow, this brought back some nostalgia! I’m pretty much exclusively a Sims 3 Simmer and a lot of my early families had the horses. I can just picture the sims doing those animations because I did them so much. Seeing it put onto the models from SSO just makes you realize how well the SSO characters and horses could interact.

Okay I went here with not expecting much since I'm not a TS player, but man these animations really suprised me, why do they actually look so good especially over the SSO models. Suddenly SSO would be about something completely else with improvements like this focusing on the realism (and no for it to be just a bit more realistic they don't need to actually change textures, models etc. If they just changed how the horses and charakters behave, it would be more than enough. Why do they have to put out so many small improvements so often? Why don't they (considering they're a pretty small team) don't take some more time like a month for an update to make it more worth it. I log on to SSO once a month at most and instead of a one bigger update, there are 4 useless ones, so that does the opposite of motivating you play, especially with them reusing 90% of the events

The roll 😍 it makes me a little sad knowing that even for the grooming and hoof picking animations, something that star stable has had for years, they can’t seem to update the amount of glitches, bugs, and horrible animation revamps in star stable But instead are constantly adding new horses when people don’t ask for them. I personally would much rather have new animations, bug fixes, fixing old horse animations, and more quests compared to a horse every other week

@Lorena she didn’t do this all alone actually. She used the sims 3 horse animations to showcase what sso could look like if we had the animations in game. But, star stable is currently working on so many things right now they can’t exactly get onto it and yet. They also had a small budget to work with in the beginning which wasn’t very helpful towards them.

Wonderfully done. You showed all of us, that SSO has still a long way to go, to make their game feeling more alive. SIMS3's animations worked better than I thought on the models of Star Stable. It feels much more alive and colorful. I hope SSO will get there eventually giving our characters and horses more personality and let them be more "alive".

Pretty sure sso could push out a little more core content then they currently have. Rn they’re adding horses, which honestly I could care less about. All the horses are honestly just for cosmetics(and so they can make more money of those paying for sc) and nothing more. I’m pretty sure most players are okay with all the horses we have, and would love some more raw content. Like, this is a horse game. But we don’t even have proper animations for caring of the horses. They need to focus less on pushing out horses, and add more raw content like new animations and features! I know they don’t make money like ea, but they do make money off of 90% of players that have star rider. They could use that money for greater things than just horses. That’s just my opinion though.

Omg how awsome would it be to have those kind of interaction with the horse and our pets (and between horses) and give them more personality. Always find that this is missing in the game if you look at other games with horses. Even rdr2 has more interactions with the horse like patting- and calming them down, brushing ect.

Sso and Sims should work together, because this is amazing! The animations of Sims are way better then the ones of sso, but their horse models are so bad if you look at sso... I hope sso sees this and know now that they need to do some of these animations ingame 😊💞

Ooh are these yours? I love them! Edit: I would love to have the sso horses gaits, but if they added a “Solo RP” or a “5 Player RP”, I would use the animations. Like rolling, the horse bucking automatically, or by a press of a specific key. Also not just bucking in the spot, bucking while galloping too! Also in wild roles, or rider roles, let’s say in the role your competing in a dressage competition. You could select a dressage move by clicking a key! Also, it would be more realistic in wild roles, if you could buck on any horse, buck while galloping instead of jumping, roll, shake your mane, and choose what rear you want! They should also add breeding, a testing arena that is unglitchable to steal the horse, foal caring, and more real breeds like Welsh Section C and D!
